  i'd agree with nick on this as well. the word nurban is just, well...not as great as you may see it as. just saying it kinda gives me that chalkboard scratch feeling.

  sorry man, don't mean to be harsh, but even as an mn native, i don't get it. there are just too many things that you seem to be stretching to try and make fit into this name and logo.

  as stated before, the overlap of the n and u does not work, including the weird little part that looks like an 'i' because of the color change. although gotham 'is' a nice typeface, it doesn't work for this.

  the colors also come off as something that comes out of the crayola 8pk. (ie. the basic set).

  this may be kind of ridiculous, but to start over may not be a bad idea. maybe you could start this off while watching A.Gs' film "rivers and streams" ?

  was the first thing i thought of when i read your idea behind the name haha :)

  thanks lvl. the word nurban, isn't supposed to strike a chord so people recognize it is a combination of nature and urban. but i do see its short comings.

  it's not your explanation that makes no sense, it's the idea that makes no sense, ie- it's pointless...

  Nubian would be a nice name... ideally, you should be black though to pull that one off...

  I think the name needs to be rethought to begin with :/ nurban only makes me think of urban and a nerd in a turban.
  If your hands are tied and you have to go with the name nurban then perhaps have a couple of sprigs or frons coming of the n in the bottom left version and perhaps something urban like a fucking cup of coffee or a bus pass on the u, I like the idea of the bottom left one but the name is wack, also do you need the creative bit at the bottom? people already know your creative surely?.... if so then do something with the type not just a font.

  i hope to spend the weekend out of doors (outdoors) and in the city. it could be hot. since that isn't what minnesota is known for, i think the experience may help me determine something more subtle.

  i am kinda stuck with nurban creative. i bought the domain name and web space (under $40 though) since i didn't want to NOT have it registered as i have seen domain names become snatched up here.

  Naturban Creative with a horizontal diacritic over the u seems worse to me though. thoughts? still bad?

  thanks for having stuff for me to look at nathan. i tried those combinations, but only in the sketch book, or i saw one at logopixel, and they didn't look so good. yours look better than those i have seen though....

  yes, the pun is too easy. and i personally get infections from the word urban. sorry.

  nurban is not making sense. these are two opposites and cannot be merged without further clarity/explanation.

  so the word nurban - bare as it is - strikes me as a rather naive pun, and is trying to be clever in a "cheap" way.

  To be taken seriously you really need to re-think the name. It's a difficult process but you have to get it right.
