I understand. I just think we need to rise above the us/them thinking... we're all in this mess together.
I was talking to someone from Russia who lives here in the States but her family is still there and she's worried that Russia is moving backward, amplifying the repression. She said she hears such familiar tones in the rhetoric of our government and is mystified that Americans, with such a history of revolution, are not actively outraged.
