that article has nothing to do with libby...... stay on libby, dude. I realize you hate the admin... I'm far past disgusted w/them too... but calling a man a traitor w/out having proof is just as disgusting to me.
You have conjectures - but legally... you have nothing.
- mrdobolina0
fuck this kevin. seriously, was OJ innocent? I mean cmon.
- rusty_hooker0
i am the tyler durden to dobs' jacks angry colon.
- rusty_hooker0
OJ was so innocent and so is Scooter. DUH!!!
- PonyBoy0
Stay on topic, dobs.
Was CLINTON INNOCENT?!!
NO!! :)
You're not going to convince me here... not because I don't think there's something STINKY going on behind the scenes... CUZ I AGREE there's something really filthy going on back there... lots of covering up...
... but... I have... NO proof.
'Traitor'... isn't the word for Libby... if you've paid close attention to the situation (which i know you have dobs)... you'll see it leads back to his bosses... Libby is a patsy... and he's the only one anyone can make anything stick to... and the ONLY thing that sticks is obstruction of justice...
... nothing more.
It sucks... it really sucks... but WHAT are you going to do?
You still going to go on being pissed about OJ? What's that getting you?... nothing.
- mrdobolina0
I'm not pissed about OJ. I'm saying it is a case when you know the fucker is guilty and he walks free, pardon or not.
How could you ever vote republican again?
- rusty_hooker0
i think its pretty fucked up you can get away with anything you want thanks to our current administration of lying assholes and thieves.
but, i would vote republican if the right candidate came along. esp if it would mean having to deal with hillary clinton.
please please please let obama run.
- pyeaton0
am i missing something. I thought libby was CONVICTED?
Nice try bringing clinton into this. Does "he was speeding too" work when You get pulled over? yeah, didnt think so.
The fact of the matter is, he broke the law. Broke the law by outing a CIA agent publically.
I believe the NYT reporter that broke the story is in jail, or at least spemnt some time in jail. Scooter won't because his boss, yes, the very same boss that cant pronounce a word over 2 syllables feels he has more information on it than the lawyers, the judge, the jury.....and he does. We all know what that is. He knows that his admin outed a CIA agent in a childish response her husband's fact laden tirade about yellow cake uranium.
Nice to know that this kuntry is run by 6yo brats.
- PonyBoy0
I don't vote. :)
Never have... never will.
I just tend to side w/conservatives and enjoy good conversation about it. I'm not trying to solve anything as I don't think mankind is capable of making leadership decisions to benefit everyone.
I'm just talking here... but if you feel because I don't vote either way that I can't discuss... then I'll happily discontinue conversing. ;)
I HATE this Administration, guys... absolutely disgusting the amount of death and dishonesty around it - my feelings as to them definitely only changed a few years ago...
... so understand I don't like them and I'm not trying to 'back my boys'...
... but I can't go on calling a man a traitor w/out proof... especially when you sniff around - you realize he probably was just following 'orders' that he probably didn't understand in the first place...
... but I can't call the man a traitor... this isn't all on Libby... it goes higher... and people want to eat one man alive because they can't get anything else on his bosses...
... that's not right to me.
- pyeaton0
ponyboy,
The "under orders" thing was tried before in 1939-1945. Unfortunatly, the people that tried using this defense were hung and shot at Spandau Prison for Crime sAgainst Humanity.
- PonyBoy0
he wasn't convicted, pyeaton... so your last post means nothing to me.
- TheBlueOne0
Dude, what drugs are you on? Libby WAS convicted. You know, that's what we do with convicted people - we send them to jail...
- PonyBoy0
convicted of perjury, blueOne... NOTHING more...
... and back to my original post...
... so was clinton... he didn't go to jail... so I don't see a double-standard here.
The crime was perjury... NOTHING MORE.... if you think you got something on the man... bring it forward... but you don't... there's nothing out there other than perjury that will stick.
He was NOT convicted of outing an Agent of the CIA.
... I'm off drugs permanently, btw. :)

(Jul 3 07, 13:13)I'd use Traitor, just like I used it for Ollie North. These guys are supposed to protect the Constitution, swearing an oath to that effect upon taking office. Cheney meanwhile is subverting the document left and right (Not a part of the executive? Fucking joke.) Cheney is a traitor to upholding the constitution. Bush lies to take the country to war, absconding his responsibilities. Libby, like a good Nazi, is just "following orders'.
Traitors to the Constitution and it's legacy, everyone of them.

(Jul 3 07, 13:38)true. Didn;t bother going back and reading all previous posts. My bad.
And I see you're falling back on the old Conservative cannard:
"Bu...bu..bu..but Clinton did it!"
Excellent example of a finely thought out reasoned argument. For a six year old.

------See... you just wrote what this is all really about..
... again - there's nothing that sticks w/the traitor charge on Libby... so I can't call for his literal death as some of you are (talking to you pyeaton... if I'm interpreted one of your last posts correctly about what happens to even those who 'follow orders')...
... but your points are dead-on reasonable, BlueOne... I'm not arguing the slime in the Administration... which is who you REALLY WANT... not the pee-on... who's getting pissed on.
- mrdobolina0
I hate that this administration divided my country so much.

you're missing my point...... i'm discussing PERJURY. It's a crime - it has consequences... none which took to Clinton... ;)
... it's my way of saying that we DON'T live in a world of double-standards amongst politicians... because they 'get away with SHIT' on BOTH sides.
- TheBlueOne0
Look, I use 'traitor" in the sense of dishonorable action towards the Office they hold, not a legally binding word - the Constitution does a good job of defining treason and these guys, despite the vileness of their actions don't meet the criteria.
But using my loose definition of traitor in this context I'd say being the patsy for the bigger fish implicates you in their guilt and crimes a priori.
I wouldn't call for his literal death of course, however I would call for the impeachment of this rotting administration.
Of course, the pissants in the Democratic congress are probably still "keeping their powder dry" to take on something, you know, serious...whenever they think that shows up..
- PonyBoy0
Now that was reasonable, BlueOne... totally agree.
See... my guess is Bush pardoned him as a way of saying... 'Please continue to keep your mouth shut...."
... but... BUT!!!!!... I have no proof of that. You follow?
Don't get me wrong... they're pure slime... something's there... but nothing is sticking... YET.
Once 'they' get around Cheney's blockade... then we'll probably get some real info. That's what people should really be concerned about - getting the right info... and not being all pissy cuz a pee-on got out of a 30 month jail sentence. He's still being fined and is on probation (if that means anything... $250k / 2 yr probation)... AND he can't ever practice law again given his conviction.
It's lame... agreed... but this is apparently how things go w/politicians.
