Oliver Stone...
'I'm ashamed for my country.'My favorite line.
"From September 12 on, the incident (the attacks) was politicized and it has polarized the entire world," said Stone. "It is a shame because it is a waste of energy to see that the entire world five years later is still convulsed in the grip of 9/11."
Is that why you just did a film about 9/11 Ollie?
garett_west
Um, you know this was the most apolitical film Mr.Stone has ever done?
You know he was born in NYC?
What EVIDENCE do you have that Olivers got no love for the capital of the world?
Such a telling insight into the degeneration of conservative thought...
Go Rove it! Personally attack the messenger! Cause FACTS confuse people.
And if you are challanged with EVIDENCE? Just brush off your challanger as a TERRORIST sympathizer...
Anyone who questions Bush II is ENDANGERING THE LIVES OF INNOCENT AMERICANS...
(Please ingore the fact we've failed spectacularly in the basic task of sealing our border)
EMOTION and FEAR are your keys to power... No need for logical, factually supported arguments...
You are the DECIDER!
And just f.y.i...
If you ever want to learn for a true conservative... You know, instead of being an apologist for dim-witted douchebags, try this...

a chick I lived with said her male waiter friend got hit on by oliver stone while he was delivering room service. even though she was probably full of shit, it was a good story

i don't see a connection between ollies comments and his film. i did not think his film was very politically engaged, right?
it was just depicting the tragedy.
there's a difference.
i think he pointed out the issue is still absorbing the ones in power..in a different way.

lol at the idea me typing that for a life losing troll...
get the dick off your breath, we'll talk...

i have read a fwe reviews off the film... no intrest in seeing any 9-11 movie though.
too soon.
he did try too connect america though... no conspiracy. no political overtones. ...just a story of a couple cops trying to survive.
it's major flaw (from what i've read) is that it's, well, boring.

I'm sorry pavlov. I guess I have to dumb things down so your middle school remedial reading session brain can comprehend what I'm trying to say.
Here you go. My point... for dummies.
What Oliver said in the interview:
"From September 12 on, the incident (the attacks) was politicized and it has polarized the entire world," said Stone. "It is a shame because it is a waste of energy to see that the entire world five years later is still convulsed in the grip of 9/11.What Oliver did:
Made a movie about 9/11.Can you wrap your dumbass around it now douchebag or do I have to dumb this down further and explian it how a parent would explain sex to a four year old?

I have no interest in seeing any film about 9/11 either, but it's not because it's too soon. I mean, it may be too soon but I wasn't affected by it personally nor do I live in the USA (it may seem like Canada is really close, and it is in proximity, but there are many differences in how things are represented here and many people don't realize that).
Basically, I have some issues with making films about these types of things without people knowing all of the facts first. Maybe we'll never know. Overall, I think I'm just not interested in seeing a film about 9/11, specifically.

I felt it was on par with a made for tv movie
-very bad dialects
-cliche scenes ( e.g. people hugging each other, etc. )but Michael Pena was absolutely terrific, and personally I think it's great to see more ethnically diverse characters in central roles for movies.
I had heard flight 93 was brilliant, but came out too soon. I got it on netflix for the week of sept 11. I couldn't watch it. All week they had things on the tv shows about 9/11 and every night walking home i saw those lights. I just couldn't bring myself to watch it.

I wonder if qbn can make the word"douchebag" display as "best friend" everytime it is posted. that's entertainment.
- Mimio0
I think Oliver opted for the facts in this case. The movie is about two of the five survivors who were trapped for days and survived.

woody... i love Michael Pena. that dude is so damn talented.
haven't seen either movie. flight 93 or world trade center. i saw it live. don't care to watch it again.
- garett_west0
That would be awesome mrdobolina you best friend.
That way all the noobs would for sure be thinking you and I were best friends seeing as how it's one of your favorite words to use towards me you best friend.
- woodyBatts0
Yeah he's great on the shield, I can't wait to see what he does in the future.
- mrdobolina0
best friendery
- garett_west0
Sigh... what a best friend.
Pavlov... so did that sink in or are you busy typing up another incoherent response?
- mrdobolina0
just because you disagree with it, doesnt make it incoherent, buddy.
- acescence0
garett, i think the point others are trying to make, and that you are not comprehending, is that the film is NOT ABOUT 9/11. it's a story that HAPPENED ON 9/11
do you understand the difference?
