All you white people who see nothing at least somewhat amiss in that ad are missing the big picture. No, it wouldn't be right if the black person was grabbing the white face either. The ad is just bad taste all around.

(Jul 12 06, 10:48)It isn't the photo that offends me, it's people who can't see the obvious. If that were a billboard of a man slapping a woman for Axe deodorant, they'd be sued quick.

version i thought this was the sony ad

didnt the black person win at the end of the ad?
- version30
TG, that makes sense, though the obvious is subjective, i am not offended and see the diversity of human skin tone being used for advertising
racism and this photo are two completely seperate things
this is racism
http://userwww.sfsu.edu/~rhernan…the other is a kneejerk reactionary technique
if you are going to condemn racism, call out something more sinister than a billboard

there is a true history to the fall of man, and i do believe th ad depicts that...
however you wanna believe the world stops, the ad shows you in full..

Calling something (or someone) a racist is a different level than just calling out a stupid and offensible picture (or action.) That ad, not just the picture, but the slogan "white is coming," is indicative of the fact that there is still a persistent attitude of White superiority, in many parts of the world. Whites, whether they want to or not, must be aware of these subtleties. They often don't give them a second thought- not because they're raist, but it's what they know (or don't know.) Ignorance is reparable. Racism, usually isn't.
