Yeah, it's funny how books like these gain immediate credulity, but the Bible - pfft... myth
(I'm really not trying to start something, nor am I in the mood to have a debate on said subject).

Judas is a Gnostic text. The Gnostics were a metaphysical cult of early Christianity. The text came way after the closing of the inspired canonical books of the New Testament. Here's what early Christian, Iranaeus, says about it in his "Refutation of All Heresies":
"They declare that Judas the traitor was thoroughly acquainted with these things, and that he alone, knowing the truth as no others did, accomplished the mystery of the betrayal; by him all things, both earthly and heavenly, were thus thrown into confusion. They produce a fictitious history of this kind, which they style the Gospel of Judas."
There is a reason that the ante-Nicene church fathers rejected heretical rubbish like Judas. It is counterfeit and doesn't stand under the scrutiny of Textual Criticism.

If one is truly interested in the life and ministry of Jesus, read the 4 gospels in the New Testament. They have proven themselves to be inspired texts which pass the rigorous tests of authenticity. :)

There can only be one true god.
The one I was told was the one true god.

My friends and I went to a pancake breakfast (fundraiser) at my old high school. This time around Spartacat (the Sens' mascot) wasn't there, and I'm not too into pancakes so I was a bit bummed out. But the band was cool (I used to be in it).
I don't like coffee.

(Apr 28 06, 06:06)What a load of crap. If science can't prove it, some "rigorous testers" have about as much chance as a fart in the breeze.

huh?
determinedmoth, you can find out about the science of textual criticism here:

but this is probably the best treatment on manuscript reliablity testing:

Ohio Valley College - For Learning. For Faith. For Life.
I'm guessing they are pretty impartial then.

Next he'll quote wikipedia.

There are plenty of other sources, skt. Would you like me to list them? Judge the data itself, forget the source.
Besides, Williams is an expert on manuscript reliability. Who better to teach on the subject.
- determinedmoth0
you know what flagellum... if there was any hard proof that the bible and anyone in it actually existed, we wouldn't require "faith" would we.
I rest my case.

i loathe Wikipedia.
