The motto: "Bring me all your oppressed masses." You should change that. It's not a new world anymore...
Godspeed.

just let the wetbacks in and move nike manufacturing to the us for big tax breaks.
we will merge with mexico and annex canada. imagine the resources and cheap labor we'd have!
also, our curling team would finally win a gold.

wetbacks?
watch your mouth. Not only are you insulting them but me and my country

i grew up in a border town, las Cruces NM. Worked in El Paso for a while. I've seen the people in the Rio Grande. It's pretty sad for sure. calling people wetbacks might be fun to say, but it sure as hell isnt fun to see. there is some poverty going on in juarez

sooo.....
if illegal immigrants are protesting...
and they are illegal...
that means they aren't citizens..
if you're not a citizen then you have no rights...
if you have no rights, that means you have no freedom of speech...
therefore illegal immigrants have no freedom of speech....
I am not saying they shouldn't protest, but finding a bit better means of doing it will probably be something worth paying attention to, especially if its done in a legal manner.
There is a high school across the street from my apartment, in a predominantly hispanic community. They had all the streets shut down around our area for a while because of the commotion. I have been "hearing" reports of some negligence of the humanitarian part by destroying property? Come on now. If you break my window, you really want me to listen to you?
If you present a logical argument in a peaceful manner then of course.

dont worry, just like everything else, the media will turn their heads to another topic/agenda next week.

It could be said that since the very first throes of globalisation, that the idea of nation states altogether is outdated..
Someone born in a bad neigborhood in a developing country grows up influenced by the decisions of unelected peoples across the globe, global corporations conspire to funnel value endlessly from wherever it can to wherever it needs to to survive, across all national borders, all cultural borders.. People in rural china work for money that was earned for people in europe by vast armies of peoples in many different countries, with all of them watching american movies, wearing japanese watches..
The generation of the last 30 years know nothing but global culture and how to navigate it - it is immoral for one group of people to band together to enforce an abstract territorial boundary around a section of the earth surface, to which we all have public rights of access..
Anyone may work anywhere else, just watch out for the police..

so you would be hating on every nation and their government in the world?I believe its time we all band together and hold hands, and sing give peace a chance...
...of course if your house is in the nation where you say the public should have a right access too...then imma be over raiding your fridge later...because you said its immoral for people to band together to keep me out

the only reason i say that is because immigration has always been a main topic where i grew up. has always been a problem. never been truly looked at. and now the whole country is up in arms. it will go to page 6 below the fold before we know it.
the US does not give a fuck about mexico. that's the truth

..who are paid to enforce local gradients of accumulated value..
The world is one increasingly crowded shrinking place, if the economy of any one major regoin suffers, we are all affected from the board room to the shanty town - we are all living under the same global economic weather systems, power flows and ebbs around this system outside the control of any one system or government...yet we are locally obliged to restrict our responses to this by governments whose very exitence is defined by geography - a relic of the time when economic, monetary and social power was limited by the speed at which information travelled on foot.
What illegal immigration highlights is that the US is as, if not more dependant on Mexican labor to maintain itself than the people of Mexico depend on the natural flow of money from the US...In 10 years, all currencies will be traded against a currency based wholly on online trade. eDollars, InterPounds, whatever it's called..
10 years after that, Internet citizenship will start to supercede nation states.
10 years after this, National Governments will occupy the same role as the British Royal family....Inbreeding and waving from Range Rovers to groups of old people and kids at 2 oclock on a Thrusday afternoon, outside a new leisure Centre in Basildon, Essex, when everyone else is at bloody work.

"then imma be over raiding your fridge later...because you said its immoral for people to band together to keep me out" Nac2...
No, I just wouldnt extend the boundaries of that fridge from sea to shining sea and every million sqaure miles in between...
I wouldnt raid your fridge, thats private. Tracts of the globe so vast they can only be seen fully from space actually belong to us all, do you not agree ?
