in other words more opportunity for lawsuits is good for the law business while more laws for corporations make more corporate criminals

not when a doc has to shut down his practice bacause he cant afford his coverage. not sure what your point is exactly
- khilled0
docs don't shut down a practice because of a law suit from a mexican and his deformed baby but the chance for a mexican to sue is good for american lawyers
- shilohous0
yes they do because their premiums are super high. they practice in another region
- khilled0
still good for the law business and doctors won't go broke very easily

Canada also had a problem with korean women coming to canada to have their babies here.
In south Korea there were even agencies offering travel packages to come to vancouver to give birth here and get canadian passports for their babies.Everything was fine until it got out of hand and CIC (citizenship and immigration canada) changed the laws. Now, because of this problem with the "korean Wives" as they were called, a baby born in canada does not get permanent residency.
In the end this situation affected everyone else.Just like in the US, a problem is affecting other people. And this simply isn't right.
What should be done is have new kinds of work permits that allows people who are not in the middle and rich classes to work legaly and immigrate as well. because the problem with immigration is that it is already too tough to be approved, and for the lower class it is impossible.
As to the millions of illegal aliens already living in the us, well that is one tough situation to deal with.
If they do ever get residency I will darken my face, make my hair look dry, get cheap clothes and talk with the strongest accent imaginable and pretend I am one of them. This way I can papers without having to do any paperwork and hopefully this can help me to immigrate to Canada.

but the law 'business' you speak of is all in the private sector. has nothing to do with our goverment really. If anything, the house and the senate tries to push through tort reform to lower the lawsuits.

(Mar 27 06, 16:54)I thought he was Mexican..
But he talks about them in some ways that lead me to think he is not.
- VectorMasked0
I am mexican.
I just don't agree with illegal immigration. Just like millions of people really. My views are not unique at all.Opinions on this subject is very different in sectors of the mexican society. The middle and rich classes don't support it, but the lower class say s it's ok

much of the issue isn't 'for or against' 'yes or no' it's WHICH laws are being made and how much MORE there are...more of the lower class are protesting because they're the ones who are falling victims to increased laws

dropping a felony charge on an immigrant seems pretty silly though. i mean what are we going to do, put a roofer in prison? that seems pretty logical.. (not)
take away their right to vote? they cant vote, they arent citizens. i really don't get the premise of dropping a felony charges
- Meeklo0
I wasn't reffering to your stand on the issue, actually..
I just got that impression for some reason. It's all good. We agree on some points, we disagree in others, that's life.peace

I'm serbian so what was the point again with that comment?
- VectorMasked0
true. agree completely, but they started this immigration problem. This increased laws are there because of their actions, aren't they?
I've heard many times people using the example of a father stealing bread to feed his son. It's great that father made that effort to give his son what he should be able to have to survive. But in the end, stealig the bread was wrong and it could have its consequences even if no harm was intended.

Should we all just forget about and sing a song and get drunk at a pub?

kicking mexicans to the curb is as important to US as rebuilding iraq. too bad mexico has no decent natural resources i guess. fucked up man..
