this console might be the first i buy since the SNES because ou can download PLAY all the classic games of the SNES and NES on the Revolution directly from Nintendo. Access to all its library of games. how sweet is that!?

What's really got me excited about the Rev now is the news that Canada will have a nationwide WiFi network by the end of 2007. The controller design (from the video it looks like the lowercase 'a' and 'b' buttons are now X and Y, which is good) sold me on getting it right away. I was going to hold out for a few months.

i have been excited about it all weekend! do we have a release date yet? the new zelda (on gamecube) was pushed back to next march...i hope that doesn't mean we will have to wait too long for this.

Persistent rumour has it the Rev will be launching in March, ahead of the PS3.

is there any rumors on price? i heard ps3 and xbox 360 are pusing the $500 area. nintendo should sell it for $250 max...sell a crap load and make their money from games and extensions.

I thought the whole idea of playing video games was to avoid exercising. Doesn't this seem like a little too much work?

I'm interested if it actually feels right. I can appreciate nintendo trying something new and different, but I don't want game comfort and fun compromised for it. Nintendo is good in my book. But I'm in it for the Zelda!

i am going to be link for halloween and the wife will be zelda...
i know what you mean though. some times i just want to sit back and play games until my eyes can't stay open. how will i feel if i am swinging my remote around like that?
it is nice how they are saying you will be able to download all of the old games and play them. remember that lame game "a boy and his blob"? where you feed this blob jely beans and her turns into different things...that was a fav. when i was a kid.

The video exaggerates the action to make it look more exciting. From what I've read, the motion required is actually very minimal, but I'm sure if you really want to get into it you can flail around.

On seeing this I ran down stairs to my lounge to make lightsaber swosh noises and swinging movements with my remote control. Everybody should try it, it feels so nice.

Sometimes I pretend my remote is a spaceship or hovercraft. Weeeee!

this looks like it could be cool. as to thedebate about the best/ worst controller ever.
sega saturn was the worst ever. EVER. it was kinda like playing video games witha big plastic ham. not to mention the lousy game selection

i liked my saturn. the controller wasn't any more bad than the original sega's was.
i think xbox wins the worst controller design ever, since users everywhere made a media spectacle out of how horrible it was when it launched

knights: into dreams was awesome on saturn
and panzer dragoon

i played games with my mom a couple times and she would constantly wave the controller around, lift it when she jumped on screen, tilted it to the side if she was racing, or whatever, and it was ridiculous.
now, thanks to nintendo, we're gonna look like our moms when we play.

This is the first time since the original Nintendo that I will be whining for one the second it comes out!! Of course, now that I'm an adult, I'll be difficult to listen to, so I'll buy the system right away to shut myself up.
I don't play games much, but as long as it has burnout, it'll kick ass. If it has a WarioWare type game that'll be cool too!
I find Halo, Grand Theft Auto and the rest of that crap, well, boring.
I thought the production of that video was really well done. I like the liquid effect with the buttons and controller.
