i agree with the fact theres more to life then fender.
there is also more to guitar playing than having an expensive guitar.

(Apr 19 05, 09:13)I was a kid, OK?! ;) my expensive guitar was very important to me at the time!
any drummers about? they were always a bitch to find, with about 20 of us NT bass/former bass players we could start the worlds largest internet rhythm section. wuldn't we be cool.
*go home _smk...

hehe sorry. wasnt having a pop at you in particular.
just that mentality.good idea about the band.
shame about the distance between everybody though.perhaps we could start one of those mod things. u know thats done with photoshop files, someone starts it then passes it on.
we could do that with layers of a cubase song or something :)hehehe

If you're interested in a Fender bass, I'd recommend the Precision over the Jazz. Unless your tastes run specifically to jazz, the Precision offers a wider range of sounds more suitable for rock or funk, especially for recording. Don't rule out Rickenbacker as a possible choice.
Good luck...

thanks guys!
Judging by who one of my favourite bass players is, Victor Wooten (Bela Fleck and the Flecktones), I'd have to say that I'm very interested in jazz too.
I'll think about all this some more.

if you aer planning on writing songs, use an acoustic guitaro to get ideas out and then play with them.
- Jaline0
i have an acoustic. i'm thinking of getting the big guns.
- konspiracy0

For guitar, man you can't beat a les paul.

nice job. I like the colours. I like black and white.
Especially with girly polka-dots. Haha

Bass is not all that enjoyable to sit around and play on it's own.
I don't know many people who get excited when at a bass player's house and he says, "Let me get out my bass and play you a song."
It's kind of boring.But a guitar - I shouldn't have to describe that.
- pascii0
usually bass players shag the burds instead of playing 'no woman no cry' and 'stairway to heaven' the whole afternoo : P
- Jaline0
'Tis true. I know so many people who play bass on stage but have to write their songs and primary music using a guitar. Because it's just inconvenient and impossible to do using a bass. I love its sound though.
- pascii0
word jaline. or a piano, which works better for me
