so you are being a child by bringing up sites
to be honest. the measure of talent comes when you go try to get a job at an agency.
not that i am really good at it nor you should but just try and see what happens

It's the way our society is shaped and the way our economy moves forward. It was built this way.
Not so good plans for a society aye; not the worst either.

Naw; I back the idea that we can all LEARN.
See, I found that I'm a pretty good visual artist at an early age of 17 or 18. I stuck with it. So with out abandoning everything I have ever worked towards till this point (to pursue, lets say, an athlete) How will I ever become a great athlete?
I have chosen something to become good at in my life time; it seems it's all the time we have.
An individual has to spend at least four years becoming a master at something--more depending on what it is i.e. becoming a doctor or a pilot.
We are all perfect in potential; if you want to be a pilot, what's stopping you?
Maybe time, but even that's a lousy excuse.

to that all i have to say is
http://www.rabbitwerks.com/
is better than this
http://www.streamhub.com/and everything on that site has been done in the last 5 months
coming soon doesn't mean shit in this business. designing is an occupation not a pastime, though i think you will disagree

Pencils are for suckers™

shit drawing is the new good drawing
makes having actual drawing skills pointless

--------------scarabin... you're a man of pure wisdom today (notice that I also called you a man - and not a woman ... I still feel pretty stupid about that!!)
I started off drawing and painting (traditional realistic stuff)... then moved on to more conceptual compositional things...
... I love type - motion graphics, math, woman etc...
... so I just keep learning and improving on what I like...
... drawing skills definetly helps out if you're a designer - especially if you really want to pay attention to the 'details'.

i dont mean to down play you
but there is a difference between being entrepreneurial and talent.
just because you sell your self does not mean you have talent.
you maybe talented at entrepreneurial but not at design.
- MrDinky0
ah Dan
my mistake. i thought you referenced your self being that everyone can taught and be talented in process

mrdink-
its perception. which is sadly shaped by popular culture. you for instance have said i have no talet but i disagree and not by selfish means.
i am able to sell my skills be it design, code, or illustration, so i know that "a" populous is intered because i create things that are both sold and enjoyed. 95% of my business comes from word of mouth which meands two things;
they like me as a person to refer me
and
the person to whom i was refferred likes my work as they have chosen to contact me without solicitation on my behalf
i think the reason most people that attempt to draw paint design fail in thier own eyes is the fact they are attempting to recreate something they saw or fit a style
abandoning those restrictions and opinions will open people up to greater possibilities and opportunities
this is why i say color safe is for cowards and fuck the grid.
because anything and everything is possible
theres an old saying that goes : you can please some of the people some of the time but never all of the people all of the time
i wish people would remember that, especially alot of the people here on nt

yeah, i agree with dinky..i dont think everyone (expect for retards) are equal to learn...we all have skills...some have the skill to draw, some are real good at math, some are real good with woman, some are real good at making fools of them self and then it is always the group that are reall good at drinking. and i was never good at spelling..
- dan_dan_dan0
Just because you hear me doesn't mean your listening.
- BNoir0
Ah Spix, nicely reminded. Home - I've got a man in bed waiting for me.
Have a good evening fellas, don't chew the cud too much, it'll lose it's flavour eventually. and then all you'll have is an achy jaw.

physical capabilities does come in to play for participation and education.
being physically capable does not equal to talent or skills, or to an extend, desire.
learning does not always results in understanding in depth. There are thinkers and replicators. I believe talent and ablilty utilize talent are in reference to natural selecton.
- dan_dan_dan0
My only use of the word "equal" was preceded by the word "not".
- magicpatch0
if you can chicken scratch a concept, thats all that matters, then hire an illustrator / artist to bring it to life
- BNoir0
If anything the creative industry shouldn't follow the bell curve. It's not flexible enough for all the variants

Drawing can be learned and creativity can be fostered. This does not mean we are all at equal levels of capability.
- Spix0
tell you what..i got a nice laphorig at home waiting for me...thanks for reminding me about whisky.
- MrDinky0
indeed Dan
but as your comment that everyone being equal is hard to believe.
in my case, i studied poli sci and went to art school and dropped out.
in any basic skill set in general statstics wold follow the bell curve
- Spix0
it helps me not.
