im confused, didnt the US invade iraq because of wmd's? then, there are none, so the public agenda shifts. how could so many u.s folk forget that and not be pissed off? it baffles me.
strangedub speaks the truth.

what's confusing about finishing what you start? Was the U.S. supposed to just walk away and say "oh shit... no WMD's - the WORLD'S intelligence agencies were full of shit - fuck it, let's go to the titty-bar and let these people rot".
There's no shift in agenda, quamb - the WMD's aren't around.. so you move forward w/the plan... and yes - removing the regime and attempting to install Democracy was the plan.
- BonSeff0
anyone still playing the WMD card needs to find the nearest shower rod.
that shit served bush's needs. were there, and will get our oil discounts/rebate/partnership/own...i cant do shit but hope nobody introduces crack.
no craq in iraq.
- abizzyman0
..."were there, and will get our oil discounts/rebate/par tnership/ownership/t ownship"
bon, that shit's been served up nicely by the left just as much as the WMD on the right.
The only diff. is - WMD's ...ACCORDING TO INTELLIGENCE... FUCKING INTELLIGENCE FROM OTHER COUNTRIES AND THE FUCKING U.N. (*breathing heavy *panting) was and IS the real reason for going over there....
.... where are you getting this OIL SHIT?!! MICHAEL MOORE? Micheal Moore's a lying sack of ... um... fat. That guy twists and distorts - but you have NO PROOF THAT BUSH IS IN IT FOR THE OILLLLL.... what? HALIBURTON?!! Pleeeeease.... they're one of the only companies in the WORLD that can do the work they're doing.
... but... there may be proof that it's allll about the oil in the future - and if it is... then you're RIGHT!
... but stop w/the conspiracies and lame conjectures...
there...
... is............ NO...... PROOF.
I'll eat my words when that time comes... if it comes.
There are killers in this world like never before seen that are damn near unseen yet organized like this world has ever encountered.
I guess all the extra security at the airport, at the sports arenas, in schools, at big events etc is all there to just continue the big farce so Bush can make us all rich - but mainly him and his neo-con Jesus loving pals.
uh oh... did I say the 'J' word? Where's that been this whole thread?
- mrdobolina0
biz, if there wasnt oil in the middle east do you think the US would have toppled saddam?
- BonSeff0
dude, get a grip. have a look at the region and ask why else we are there. omg
you think i give a fuck about the UN, they couldnt even get it together to aknowlege auschwitz, you really think there main focus is terror? hardly
- johndiggity0
worst thread ever.
- abizzyman0
I honestly don't know, mrdobs...
... I just know that they went in and toppled the Taliban first - they had their elections and they're moving forward (yeah, slowly - but it is a forward progression)... and that Bush called out an Axis of Evil that included Iraq... I will quote:
"...North Korea is a regime arming with missiles and weapons of mass destruction, while starving its citizens.
Iran aggressively pursues these weapons and exports terror, while an unelected few repress the Iranian people's hope for freedom.
Iraq continues to flaunt its hostility toward America and to support terror. The Iraqi regime has plotted to develop anthrax, and nerve gas, and nuclear weapons for over a decade. This is a regime that has already used poison gas to murder thousands of its own citizens -- leaving the bodies of mothers huddled over their dead children. This is a regime that agreed to international inspections -- then kicked out the inspectors. This is a regime that has something to hide from the civilized world. "
... 'something to hide'... that's a true statement - and I personally have a feeling that we'll find anything relating to these possible WMD's (if they did exist) hiding somewhere in Syria.
I think Iran's next... and then N. Korea - but I don't think that's going to be necessary. Speaking of N. Korea - do you all realize how many U.S. and other troops occupy the nuetral area between the South?
All of these countries are on the list. Perhaps the bi-lateral talks w/china and other asian countries will open the way for talks w/that little bastard Kim Jung Il (sp?... heeewwoooo :) )...
eh - there's so much to talk about here - I just know that this isn't one man's greed agenda - that's rediculously impossible - there are too many people working on this war and working on gathering intel and hunting down terrorists etc.
Like I stated before - there's far to big an effort to try and ensure security in this country. It'd all be one big lie... one that can't be proven (yet).
So, dob's, I can honestly say that given all the new security, efforts amongst the world intel community, the terror threats that we're made aware of via news etc --- that the US would definetly have gone into Iraq. The fact remains that the US is being preemptive on a global scale to attempt to ensure that terrorism doesn't invade it's borders.
This is something I do truly believe in.
:)
oh... and it's not a christian thing (because the use of christianity in this IS A JOKE and the repubs should stop that shit because they look like hypocrites)
- ctrlRmB0
abizzyman... can you qualify how it was the world's intelligence that pinpointed a problem of WMDs?
- mrdobolina0
every country has something to hide, even your own.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp…
Sounds like they are really worried about security.

sorry, that was a cola like comment. i feel dirty. must go take a shower...
- GreedoLives0
what a load of crap.
the us has NEVER been interested in 'spreading democracy'.
they merely are interested in toppling the unsavory governments that won't dance to the yankees' tune. look at all the other vile and oppressive governments the US is dealing with, no problems there. if the US was really interested in helping the world and spreading democracy, they'd have driven their humvees into Yugoslavia, Kosovo, Rwanda, the Congo, East Timor, Darfur etc.
The reason we're in Iraq is OIL. Don't kid yourself for a second. Bush is and was an OIL MAN.
- johndiggity0

ok so I am going for dessert. I think this is the longest running poli-thread ever that hasn't been shut down. All the Nov. ones were shut down at about 100.
- abizzyman0
well... I research and find public statements of other countries providing their intel -
what I was trying to state above is that this is one HUGE charlotan job if Bush is really only in Iraq for oil.
http://www.washtimes.com/op-ed/2…
that article really states some of my true feelings on the subject...
here's a brief quote which I really agree with:
"To have accomplished both such manipulation of his government and of world opinion would seem inconsistent with the media's portrayal of him as a Forrest Gump type. Now, they would have us see George Bush as possessing all the skills and instincts of Nicoli Machiavelli and Joseph Goebbels. "
Personally - I think his skills must go far beyond Machiavelli or Goebbels if he's pulling off this amazing farce... it's can't be all about Oil - it's nearly impossible to fathom.
- abizzyman0
btw greedo - go pats!
