i dunno. bad religion, rise against, anti-flag, against me!, green day... all bands that have really embodied the original spirit of punk and kept it alive these days.
of course, then there's the yellowcards of the world that make life harder to live each day.

People who proclaim punk to be dead need to be less insecure about their taste in music.

What? What welded? I couldn't here you over that yellowcard blaring in the background!
....Wait a second. you're on the internet.
reminder to self: stop moshing to yellowcard while on nt.

Truth be told I don't even like punk. Given the choice I would probably pick the dreaded mall punk. It's still not good, but it's easier on the ears. :\

personally i'm a fan of descendents, d4 and nofx. almost mall but to vulgur for radio : )

Judging by my iTunes list I like Me First and the Gimme Gimmes.
Talk about safe mall punk! It's fun stuff, though.

all sounds like disco to me.

PUNK SUCKS!

punk as a movement is dead. punk as music isn't. its reinventing itself and splintering off into subcultrues just like any other form of art that becomes too commercially sucessful for its own good.

punk has been dead since '84 when danzig left the misfits. all you mall punks and emo douches parading around in hot topic should let it stay dead. the only band remotely keeping the "punk spirit" (i use that loosely) are the hot snakes. check it.

I dunno guys, G.G Allin kept the punk scene pretty raw. Since 'Hated in the Nation' came out in '87, I would give the Punk scene 4 more years than the previous quote. On that note, punk is pretty much dead.

Do many of you still listen to Punk Rock on a regular basis? By my early 20's I had pretty much stopped listening to any punk bands?
