I needed to switch phones after 6 years and went out and bought the cheapest entry level android A05, I can't be happier. I love me an underdog, does everything I need and it goes without saying I truly don't get expensive phones which cost around thousands if not more expensive. Also Signs You Are Getting Old

OMG I wanna pull out what's left of my hair. 45 mins on chat with GoDaddy because after years of SFTP 22 working fine, decides will not connect today and after asking very direct questions about access and issues I expect might be causing it they refused to answer 90% of questions and set up a temp FTP 21 access that yes works but mine still doesn't no matter if pw updated etc, just a brick wall... End result was being told 5 times in a loop even though I kept confirming was NOT the case, as was connecting fine to other host server, that my specific ftp client was the issue and to contact the developer for help... what!? Even though my creds refuse to work across two separate ftp clients. I was literally like so it's fine I guess that even though I have ftp creds that are in CPANEL and are years-tested and correct etc that those should just mysteriously not work anymore and same with SFTP - that should not be used anymore either for no solid reason, just accept this reality I guess. And kept being told by tech that his new temp ftp creds works (they did but are ftp 21) use those.. like what is the problem here, forget about the actually creds that are still officially sitting their on the host account that I've always used across devices. like omg. the end.

    • omgprophetone
    • I half expect that suddenly 'poof!' my original sftp creds will just work again for no reason at some point b/c why not?prophetone

    • "why cannot I no longer use my SFTP creds now?"... "sir I have set up a temp FTP login so that works fine just use that now"prophetone
    • it was maddening hahaprophetone
    • Wild ass guess but did you try throwing away the old sFTP certificate/ key/ whatever so it would regenerate as on a new login?monNom
    • Because it’s a system auto generated sftp based on higher level creds so it’s baked in except for pw hence why is it suddenly dead for no reasonprophetone
    • I asked if related to certs, ssl, anything external... they wouldn’t fully answer questions, kept insisting must be my ftp app etc lolprophetone
    • I will look into forcing a refresh like you suggested, I did do that to a degree, was also reviewing ssl, but maybe I need to do more, anywayprophetone

Did you know that the free version of YouTube Music lets you upload your own music? For some reason, very few people actually know this and use it.

It's great for all the stuff that isn't on streaming. I've used it for years.

    • I mean, it lets you upload your own music collection, not just your own music that you made yourself :)jagara

the previous owners of this home must have considered clovers close enough to grass to not be bothered weeding or landscaping in any capacity

i've pulled at least 100 gallons of dandelions this week. my trashcan is full. i'm not done. :( 5-10% of that came from the neighbors yard.

mowing tomorrow will look so good when i'm done

sidenote: why do so many houses in america have that little strip of property off to the side that the neighbor doesn't mow?

so silly to see a weed line / different grass line 8 feet from the garage.

my left side yard overlaps my neighbors front yard and we both have a habit of mowing into the other's lawn. cool

my neighbor to the right thinks cutting his dandelion decorated grass is weed control. grrr

because you all care so m uch about my lawn.

this is a fairly common yard here

    no, thank you

    that line is noticeable

    yes, please

seems neighbors I've spoken to about this all say essentially the same thing, just stay on top of it, they appear quickly and die just as fast. letting weeds propagate is bad for clover, grass, and the soil. Ideally wildgrasses that root deeper would be preferencial. but with a limit to grass height, not an opton. each has their opinion on chemicals but given the pup, i'm using vinegar, salt, or boiling water for anything I can't dig up.

this is why kentucky bluegrass is preferred here, slower growth, denser, better at retaining water

So we're standing on a pier on San Cristobal island in the Galapagos last week. We're about 8 feet above the surf, rocks, crabs and sea lions resting on the rocks. My wife walks over and promptly drops her phone through the boards of the pier and into the rocks below. Poof. It's gone. We get down on our knees to see if we can locate it. Nada. A gentleman who works at the marina walks over seeing we're in distress, I explain in my 8th grade Spanish what happened and he walks away. Three minutes later he returns with shirtless man called Jorge who looks like he's a house painter due to the paint splattered on his back. He asks where the phone is, jumps over the railing, down on to the rocks and sticks his arm down to try to find it. Waves are crashing about every 10 seconds or so. He pulls out a plastic bag. He pulls out an empty can. Then he holds up my wife's iPhone 13 (waterproof!) and we are so relieved. The phone was totally fine, still on and working even though it had been submerged for about 15 minutes or so. We handed Jorge and the other big guy $20 each. They were psyched and we were obviously so happy. It was a needed reminder that there are still really nice people out there.
So grateful for that big man to be willing to walk over to help.

Been using Warpcast/Farcaster for just over a week. Already made $80 worth of $degen tips I can cash out from just doing a few posts a day.

If you post something decent then folk tip you $degen. Each day, each person gets a $degen allowance. The more you engage/interact/tip the more allowance you get.
