the bottom line is this...
rules need authority. without it, they're fruitless.

"One way to ensure that Saddam doesn't disarm is to put hundreds of thousands of troops in the area and broadcast pictures of the cruise missiles you are going to use against him. "
another way is to just leave him alone and cross our fingers and hope for the best.
"I mean how would he defend Iraq from the US-UK invasion? Bush and Blair have left him no room to disarm."
yeah, 6 months isn't nearly enough time... especially for the WOMD he totally forgot about.

disarmament wasnt asked yesterday vespa. its been asked 12 years ago when no troops were even on that side of the globe.

"we can make it TOGETHER you and I Cymande, we can tech the people LOVE if we TRY in all their hearts there rests a problem in my heart and your heart the ANSWER lies"

FREE SPEECH FOR THE DUMB.

"That's nice. Food for the dead. How considerate."
they are being asked to move. quite considerate... their dictatorship government will be replaced... not the best option... but then again, it's not really the US that's imposing this, it's Saddams choice of not dissarming.

"More like, if I am going to kill hundreds of thousands of Iraqis with taxpayers' money, I have to ask for permission from both the taxpayers and the world mediator of international law, the UN. "
yea, thats exactly it. its this type of ignorance that will win you a trophy. this isnt gonna be like gladiator or braveheart. we're not going in and raping iraqi women and shooting up schools with children in them. military has evolved where its gonna be strategic and precise.

"the us has the interests of the iraqi civilains in mind. food rations are already being prepared. "
That's nice. Food for the dead. How considerate.

the us has created this threat. its not a matter of the Iraqis creating it, its a matter of the US egging it on in hopes to take over the rich oil reserves.
the us does this in isreal, its done it in panama as well as mutliple other countries of financial intrest.
its all really to bad, i feel for all parties, but if you look closly at the facts and watch the serious war hawking thats going on. Im no smarty on the subject, I just hope this war is for the right reasons, because its going to effect the whole world.
- mitsu0
"by bombing fuck out of the country with 800 cruise missiles in 48 hours will GUARANTEE that another event like 911 DOES OCCUR......"
is this their plan of action? regardless, the us has the interests of the iraqi civilains in mind. food rations are already being prepared.
- Buckyball20
this upcoming conflict isn't about the dog. it's about the owner.
bB

mitsu, more like 12 years its taking saddam to disarm.
"by bombing fuck out of the country with 800 cruise missiles in 48 hours will GUARANTEE that another event like 911 DOES OCCUR...... "
and jews are still being burned at the stake each day even decades after hitlers fall.

"if i feel like im in danger, i always have to ask for permission before feeling safe. "
More like, if I am going to kill hundreds of thousands of Iraqis with taxpayers' money, I have to ask for permission from both the taxpayers and the world mediator of international law, the UN.

Evolution in reverse.
