The inevitable is upon us. Just wanted your thoughts before the campaign begins.
I pray for the safety of our soldiers and the iraqi people. I hope this conflict is short lived and as bloodless as possible.

hope for the best...
but expect the worst...and im expecting the absolute worst on this one..
no way around it...
bad bad bad bad times ahead for the world...
we all just took one huuuuugge step closer to a police state me thinks...
that being said, i have no wish to turn this into another thread full of bashing, so i'll join good ol Bucky in saying i hope the soldiers get out safely, and that the iraqi people aren't masaquered by either side..

I'm praying for the Iraqis, the soldiers and the future of international peace in a world where invasion by the powerful can go ahead without UN backing.
I'm also praying for the future of the UN and for those who will be affected by the increased terrorism that this will undoubtedly breed.

Wishing for global freedom and truly blind justice.

''When it comes to our security, we don't really need anybody's permission,' U.S. President George W. Bush said Thursday.
WTF is that about, man that guy is fucked.

just incase anyone else needs a refresher...
that was osama bin laden...

once again, you have to change the paradigm before the protest, if the foundation is weak, the house will fall, again and again. If Jesus is naked, clinging onto the tip of a Tomahawk, it's only because you put him there. Everything that is advertised is a Hungry Ghost for Money, a supernatural ATM in reverse. Travel without Moving.

don't use 911 that way dude, it's manipulative. Using it to stir up feelings of anger. It's a tragedy... but it's not an automatic justification for ANY war.
This war will not decrease the level of terrorism in the world. The opposite is true.

thank you exador!
this is a very sad day in our history I think.

I pray for safety from bombs, terrorism and hatred for everyone in the world, especially those who are under direct threat of it right now.

Slinky, this thread is about war with Iraq unless I am mistaken.
Those newpaper headlines are about terrorist activities associated with Saudi Arabian Osama Bin Laden.
They are seperate issues, although successful media propaganda has blurred them into one in some peoples' minds.

yea, really fucked. i mean, if i feel like im in danger, i always have to ask for permission before feeling safe.
- unknown0
slinky, i think its well put.

i just thoght the newspapers were a good find... and i posted on the most recent/relevant thread...
I agree that the two, Iraq/bin Laden are somewhat separate but I for one believe that Iraq does support terrorism and most likely supports bin laden...
but my last post was not to offend... so sorry if it did

''When it comes to our security, we don't really need anybody's permission."
Exactly. This is not a show of arrogance as some would interpret. This is stating the obvious. This statement is true in regards to any threat to our nation.

if it was really about WOMD then there are many countries ahead of IRAQ and NK. Like the US for example.

"that was osama bin laden...

i think you were missing slinky's point, or even bush's point on 911.
we aren't going after the iraqi government because of 911, we are going after them to insure another event like 911 won't occur.
