Through education, in the UK, for the new MBP with equivalent spec to my 2015 MBP, plus apple care, it's £3200. Non-education would be over £3500. Apple care used to be £59 for education, it's now £150. Dongle, £9, upgrades to SSD, processor, graphics...Bloody madness. That's over £1000 more than what I paid.
Been trying a windows 10 machine the last few days. Fucking hell. Really tried hard to like it, infact I do like it, a lot, but windows 10 is a bastard of a shambles. So it seems Apple have us by the gonads or by the pussy if you're trump.

- I didn't say there was anything good about OS. However, the fact it works helps, or at least works compared to W10.craigatkinson

- fadein, little but annoying things. Plug into a screen and res is all over place because w10 cant manage a screen lower than that on the comp. for egcraigatkinson
- deathboy, like the options, versatility, feels more 'open' than apple, easier for kids to use too from school POV, like the touch optioncraigatkinson
- dislike the buggy bits. resolution, text render, settings resetting, general speed of things...Shame because the machine is great, W10 not socraigatkinson

- text render doesnt bother me in the slightest. but win10 is a bit buggy. a bit more dumbed down too. i see more bugs on laptop than desktop.********
- Settings resetting bug me. Especially because there the dumb shit like updates. They went retard on that stuff. An update hosed a bios on a board for me.********
- Hate the idea of touch. Maybe if on the move with surface but they need to get windows ink dialed in with wacoms.********
- Besides the the bugs which seem par for course these days, my biggest grief is how they dumbed aspects of it down and made it so spy ish. have to turn somuchoff********
