The way I see it is that there's a lot of people in need, I used to be one of them. When I was sleeping in my car, and couch surfing, and surviving off of other people's leftovers. I was damn glad that I had my health but more importantly I was grateful to the people who picked up a meal for me and let me sleep on their couch so I could get through school.

Other people having it worse helped keep things in perspective but its true, its a lot different when its your life. And I'm really sorry about all of the people in the world who suffer, its part of the reason why I participate so heavily in microfinance at kiva.org and charitable donations.

The thing about Justin's situation is that he doesn't live in a third world country, he lives in (some of) our country and to a broader extent, all of our society. We've set a standard of living that is hard to live beneath. Even when I had nothing at least I had something. Right now Justin has more nothing than I ever did and in this society thats a hard road to look down.

Its because of the kindness of friends and strangers that I've made it this far. And its because of their kindness that I want to help everyone I can. If Jusin's situation doesn't move you to help then sobeit. But the fact that you are on a computer reading this shows that you have more than most in the world and I hope you realize your position and help bring somebody get closer to surviving.
