I was disappointed to see this. Too charming for me.

scarabin Q&A

What can you tell me about Hermeticism? I mean, I've read the Wikipedia articles. But, that's probably not the breakdown I'm really looking for. Give it to me in a sentence or two.

The "Numbers" Guy - a psychological profile

A teenager with social anxiety disorder who, years back, discovered this website by accident?

An awkwardly lonely adult working around-the-clock somewhere in the technology sector?

A psychiatric hospital patient with computer lab access who somehow unsoundly yearns for acceptance on this website?

Business Card Organization

Sure, all my important contacts are digitally sync'ed between my computer and PDA. However, I still have several dozen business cards of acquaintances, colleagues, and strangers that I just will not throw away.

I've spent (too much?) time now scouring my bookmarked resources for simple sleeved albums and such, because I know I saw plenty of them in the '90s. But, I've found nothing; mostly just personal business card "holders." The QBN filter yielded nothing for me either.

I'd love something than I can just discreetly stow on a bookshelf like it where any other odd book or journal. If you folks have anything like this that you like, I'm all ears.

(I know an office supply retailer like Staples may technically serve these needs; I'm just usually dissatisfied with the quality of their brands.)

Going to fetch some dinner now. And thanks.

For those interested in architecture, he was the Czech-born head of Future Systems, a forward-minded practice based in the UK.

Anyone have any event logo/identity examples with a (Victorian) Christmas(/maybe Charles Dickens-type) theme?

Thanks.

modular shelving/storage system

Can anyone point me to recommended modular systems of open and closed shelving similar to this?
http://www.betterlivingthroughde…
It's for a long wall in my apartment and and it should display books and hold a TV and related electronic boxes and hanging file drawers would be a plus. As would any system that has modular provisions for a desk space.

Thanks. This is a pain in the ass.

Glenn Back is mentally ill

I can't even fully comprehend it. Neoconservitism is this schizophrenic tug of war between limited federal government/domestic policy and global strongarming.

I suppose CNN wishes to win back some of Fox New's market share but they should be ashamed as a news organization to give this guy a microphone and place his rantings on their front page. Someone over there should really just say, "Hey, this isn't journalism. This is unsubstantiated paranoid anxiety."

What a disappointment. I guess I should write them a letter but for whatever reason I'm posting here instead.

I'd like to make some "wallpaper"...

So, I'm an architect and a want to "wallpaper" a huge (15' high x 35' wide) graphic onto a blank wall.

I haven't really done anything like this before. My image will be from a photograph or scan and I'd like a traditional (more three-color/comic book or screen printed as opposed to a pixel-based) method of printing to achieve this look. I realize I can't get single sheets but the larger the better.

I'm in D.C. and the project's in Ohio.

As a starting point, can you guys point me in the direction of any methods/techniques/people I should look into?

Thanks so much.
