  Can anyone point me to recommended modular systems of open and closed shelving similar to this?

  It's for a long wall in my apartment and and it should display books and hold a TV and related electronic boxes and hanging file drawers would be a plus. As would any system that has modular provisions for a desk space.

  If you're looking for open shelving, bed bath and beyond and the container store have shelving systems which you can design in-store with a consultant at a kiosk, and they can render you a sketch and quote. Not sure if they have them in washington, though.
