Apple Cinema vs Dell 2007WFP

I have a chance to get ACD 20" cheaply and get rid of my Dell. I won't have the time to test them both together beforehand though.
Can you tell if there is a noticeable quality difference?

Why are they doing it to themselves on the day Apple had booked all the attention for?

7777 PotD Pool

Reply #7777 in Pic of the Day thread http://www.qbn.com/topics/441052… is approaching rapidly. Someone lucky will hit that jackpot shortly. Why don't we make their luck a bit punchier?

To whomever gets to post the response number 7777 in the aforementioned Pic of the Day thread,
I will paypal a very substantial amount of $7.

I invite you to join me for this worthy cause. Let's buy somebody a few drinks or a brewery, depending on QBN's active user base.

It is simple:
Post the amount you enter in the pool. $7 max, but it's just as cool if it's less. We're using USD because it's cheap anyway. Then, when we know the winner, you'll paypal the amount to the email they provide.
It is probably a good idea for everyone declaring to chip in to rewrite the list, adding yourself at the end.

Just one thing - no funny stuff. One to post themselves on the list and not to post the money is a sorry twat.

Sicily

Going for a week in 3 weeks.. Looking to do some sightseeing, volcano gap lurking, but mainly need a fantastic beach/rock with snorkeling/scuba opportunity. Where do we go?
I think we'll rent a car for the whole week, so we'll be pretty mobile.

Baseline Grid

I read an article on baseline grid in CSS today, quite interesting:

Later today I accidentally found this article (pdf):

Do you know any good reading material on the subject?
How to calculate leading for headings, subheadings, etc?

Is the sound quality worth getting an airport express? Is the playback smooth? Does it slow down the network at all?..

Financial data design examples

I'm looking for good examples of sites/applications presenting financial data.
Could be financial companies, portals, financial pages of news sites.. any links appreciated.

This Bloomberg redesign presentation is neat:

Especially this one (click to enlarge, it's big):

Freelance billing question

I was wondering.. How do you round up the hours?
Say, you've worked for 9 hrs 10 mins. Do you bill for 9, 9.15, 9.30 or full hours, which would make it 10?

Lenovo 22" LCD

Anybody using the Lenovo L220X ? It's 22" with 1920x1200 resolution usually seen in 24" models. That should give some screen real estate with increased sharpness. The panel used is S-PVA, which promises good colour reproduction..
