Hi

Does anyone here work at MTV UK and could give me the name of someone in the HR department, I'm trying to get myself a reference but the bloody secretary will not put me in contact with anyone if I cannot give a direct name to someone in a department, FFS. When you have not worked at MTV for 8 years it's hard to remember the name of the HR person if you know what I mean.

I have some crazy Opera Madness going on with my Footer. It seems to have a padding element knocking the browser down and leaving allot of white space but there is no padding applied to the footer element. Do you think it might be the Jquery plug-in which is the problem?

Quick question.

Is it possible to link from a jQuery slide image on my index page, to a different slide on say my design page, and have that link go to a specific slide on my design page. Example, if I link from slide 5 on my index page, it would then link up to slide 5 on my design page.

So I have just watched what I think is the best film in 2010, named Monsters. And get this the man who directed the Movie done it on £15000. It turn out he works as an effect graphic guy for the BBC. It hard to describe what this bloke has produced for the money but it a bloody good effort if you ask me. I thought he had a Hollywood budget of a couple of million to do the film. Anyway just take the time to see the movie, you will not be disappointed, and I think the story behind the movie is just as interesting.

So I went for an interview yesterday and the company explained to me how there production teamed worked. It turns out they have 3 different department, 1 for design, 1 for CSS, 1 for backbend development. The thing that struck me as strange was the design department had no understanding of how a website is put together, the people there just used Photoshop all day long and then send over the design comps to the CSS department.

The thing that got me worried is what happens to the design people when they leave the company and try and get a job in web design again, I don't know many companies out there who will give someone a job designing website on PS all day, and don't know how to build them using XHTML and CSS.

Hi

So I seem to have flash 9 plug-in installed for IE8, but all the other browsers on my laptop have Flash 10 plug-in installed. I have a interview in 4 hours and my flash Video content has stopped working in Firefox and Safari and Chrome arrrrrrr. I really do not want to use IE8 for the interview.

I have tried to use the flash Uninstaller but it's not working with the other browsers, they still have Flash 10 installed, and I need to move them back to flash 9 but cannot seem to find where the plugin are installed in Windows XP. Anyone got any tips.

Fuck you Adobe. There products on mac are fucking second rate at best, and there just taken the piss out of us, today I pasted over some code in dreamweaver CS3 and for some reason it decided all by itself to alter my CSS and completely fuck up my website I'm working on, then yesterday I tried to embed a simple Flash Video player and it turned into an hours dilemma trying to figure out why it's not fucking working in dreamweaver or in Flash.

Funny how everything work on a PC, sorry rant over, working on the weekend is no fun. :(

Morning.

I am having trouble getting the Flash Video working in Dreamweaver CS3, it seem to implement the code fine, but I cannot view the video locally from the desktop, all I get is a White Box where the video should be in all browsers. Any ideas what going wrong.

My Park Aug 9, 10, 1:26 p.m.

Went to the Park today to take the dog for a quick walk, As I parked the car up to a white Van I notice it moving but without the engine on, it turns out some people where dogging in the bloody back of the van, couldn't help but laugh. So I phone a mate of mine to tell him what the hell is going on, and he tell me there was also a Porn movie made in the park a couple of months ago, and it's online.

Funny thing was when all this white van man action was happening a police car just happened to drive in the car park to check things out, I thought it's all going to kick off but the police car just drove up the car park, then back down, and then drove off, and the van was still bloody bobbing up and down.

That just fucking random.

Is this the best England can really do for the 2012 Olympic games, we have some really talented designers in this country and the only building that is interesting is the Aquatics Centre, the rest of the buildings look mundane to say the least.

For some reason my conditional comments have just stop working with IETester, I have deliberately made changes to the body element and a DIV background for IE6, IE7 and there just not showing up when testing.

Any advise welcome, please

Repeat PNG IE6 Jul 6, 10, 3:12 a.m.

Hi

Anyone have any tips on getting a PNG to repeat on the X Y in IE6. At the moment I'm using the IE PNG Fix - TwinHelix but the tile background is still not working.
