I'm on contract currently designing a site with a complicated search and filtering options, it's an auction style site with a ton of options and sort by categories.

I've worked on a few like this before for recruitment sites and they've been at the clients discretion and have always turned out ugly.

Anyone have any ideas, examples, articles or experience with complicated searches and options?

We're trying to make this one as simple as possible so divided into quick filter which includes a sort drop down and a link to advanced search.. it ain't happening.

Who's got the goods on briefing and feels like sharing the questions they ask and a brief form they fill out?

Moama, you must be pretty slick in this area, what's your process?

This is to pass onto a junior account manager and she's asked for some help and advice, her tech knowledge is passable with layout and creative, but nothing too over the top.

CS3 PDF Print Sep 13, 08, 7:31 a.m.

new imac, installed CS3, went to print to pdf and it only had PostScript option, reinstalled acrobat, still didn't add, added it manually in System prefs, now it shows up and will print, dandy.

It's missing all the settings 'Smallest file size' 'High quality press' etc. in the options.

What gives? Anyone else come across this?

Who has a new imac that can share how they've set up their CS3, and display color profiles?

This is goddamn ridiculous.

Have my system prefs display profile set to imac and in PS rgb is on sRGB and when I'm saving out to web it's lighter in jpg than in the PSD no matter what I do.

While subcontracting to a dev / account management team, they want a bunch of boxes they can drag around and create a wireframe of a site with.

I've created min in illy, this is ruled out as the client can't tweak them.

Other suggestions? Visio is also out due to client not having it.

This is to be repeated with other clients over and over, so worth making a solution.

Is an editable PDF the way to go? Thoughts would be great. As much as I hate to say it, what about a PPT?

OR an AJAX online solution would be even better?
