The infinit outsourcing May 4, 12, 7 a.m.

I was reading one of the post and thinking how familiar is to see a big agency outsource a project to a large production company that will hire a studio that will outsource the project into (sometimes) a single freelancer, or a small team let's say 4 - probably in a geographically remote location.

We all know that this usually (although not always) goes against the clients - who will pay more than what it should - and the industry (the quality decreases, etc.)

Do you think it should be a legislation regulating how many times (if any) a company can outsource a project or is it acceptable as far as the company delivers?

I normally like designing stuff for "people who like design", but let's face it: that is not always the case.

So, what happens when you have to design for a target that will likely 'hate' designed things, even designers?

I mean, I had to make promos look cheesy for the value range of a large supermarket chain... and now, I need to help a family business (gun shop) but I know that 'improving the visual image" wont help at all.

I'm thinking in viral, promotions, social media and anything that will look non-corporate.

Any of you have a successful project of this kind to share?

I turn to you for some advise...

I got fed up trying to get WP-based eshop working, but I still need an eshop.
Long story short, the missus wanted to put some products online, etc. and I am trying to help. As we don't know if this will work financially or not, I am ruling out magento, where you need to pay a monthly fee.

SO, is out there something that allows you to display products and has a shopping cart that works -and looks at least half decent?
