Howdy QBN,
I'm looking for someone who specializes in infographics working in the Chicagoland area. We have a project here that we need a little assistance with. I think you all really need to take a step back and think for a moment what truly constitutes "Pic of the Day" and "Vid of the Day" material. Honestly, it's lacking and utter shite. lol.

And trollers. You aren't trolling nearly hard enough. I remember back in the day one simple inflammatory post would generate 200+ comments and raise everyones blood pressure. You could almost hear people screaming at their computers.

Overall the community is shit. No comradery, no reach arounds, meetups are a thing of the past. WTF happened to this place? I feel like it's the Delta house from Animal House after Dean Wormer puts them on double secret probation.

stabbed in the back twice today.

first: we reviewed some wireframes a week ago and i was arguing hard for some changes that would improve functionality. the ia was on my side and we were battling it out with the strategy department. a week later the owner sees the wires, he sees the errors and has a talk with strategy. he calls me in and literally uses my argument against me. turns out strategy made it sound like i was running with the wires and made the decisions, then used my argument to improve them. wtf.

second: two weeks ago we have a client in to review some creative. i say "hey, i took your photo and had to flip it for blah blah reasons. the logos are backwards and i noticed that in a similar photo you guys did the logos were removed. what do you want me to do?" and they said "it's fine. they're so small anyways no one will notice". so today they're at their event getting lambasted for the logos being backwards, shit is hitting the fan here and the project manager, account manager and client all seem to forget that conversation ever took place. i'm getting shit on for the error. wtf.

these are the people i have to work with...

howdy guys n gals. i'm in need of some assistance asap. we have a fairly large photoshoot tomorrow and we just realized 2 of our 1000 watt halogen bulbs are burnt out.

does anyone in the chicagoland area know where we can purchase bulbs this evening? yes i'm searching the interwebz but i figured i'd ask here to in the hopes of a quick answer.

the estate black logo. just a modified garamond yes? does anyone have any recommendation for a font that is similar in style? i'm looking for something with a bit of old world style (like the 'k' and 'a' in the estate logo) but somewhat clean and elegant.

was just installed on our apple computers by the i.t. department. their reasoning was so that they could push software updates and patches to us. also giving them the ability to test the patches/application/update before it's pushed out. i'm sorry... apple already pushes out updates quite well via their own software updater.

it also just so happens a 1tb drive is now running on his desk the very same week they activated landesk on our machines.

i was born at night but not last night... this is being used to track our machines eh?

i'm a week and a half ahead of schedule on a project, the cd is out for the day, it's 2:30pm and the internet is fk'n BORING right now. i've exhausted all the sites i normally frequent (gizmodo, espn, chunkyasses) and spent a solid 2 hours on youtube watching jet crash videos. haha.

snapped these last night as a pretty nasty storm rolled in. the first i snapped as we were walking out of the store, the second i snapped just before i got into the car, when i realized the clouds had started to swirl together... i would have snapped more but my wife was screaming at me to get in the car and get the hell out of there. as were were speeding off like some kind of scene from the dukes of hazzard just as quickly as the clouds formed a funnel and started to come down, it dispersed and went back up.

if it had formed it would have been a massive tornado. sorry for the shitty quality of the images. pretty amazing though.
