Anyone in SLC?

I am going to be travelling there frequently, just wondering if any QBNers live there.

UK/CA question

I was just thinking - in CSS, there is a text-transform property 'capitalize'. I know that the Queen's English would spell this 'capitalise'.
Does this American English pose a problem for any of you programmers in the UK or Canada? Or, does it just bug the sh!Z out of you?

external HD for MBP

i tried the filter and tried reading some reviews, with no luck.
I am looking to replace my fw400 external hd with a new one (since the MBP only has fw800).
I am thinking 250Gb or so. I am not sure what interface to look for (i dont do video).
I guess i want a reliable model that isnt too big and looks nice if possible.

Any suggestions?

Digg users...

I just added a new script to SuperSimple, I am hoping to get some diggs.

It is a really easy to use script that adds a little protection to your web images.

Image Tiles

Hello all - I just added another script to http://supersimple.org

It is called Image Tiles. It is a js/php script that automagically converts your images into a bunch of little tiles in order to make them harder to hotlink, copy or download. All you need to do is add a class to your img tag for it to work (after you upload the files).

I am interested in getting some feedback from you guys to let me know if you think it is useful or not.

Of course, there is virtually no way to protect web images from ever being downloaded or copied, but i think this is a pretty easy way to make it a lot more difficult.

Thanks

xbox live ??

Wondering if anyone has experience with xBox Live? In particluar, I cannot connect to it. The error I get is something about not assigning IP, or IP in use. I have tried connecting directly to the cable modem, without a router in between.

Cant seem to find an answer online. Anyone seen this before and know how to fix it?

outlines in illustrator

i am having issues with outline text in illustrator 10.
i test print before converting to outlines, and it looks fine.
after i convert it, all of the text looks much thicker. it is as if the regular fonts went to ultra bold.
i know that the fonts generally appear a little thicker on screen after the conversion, but i dont think that they should print that way.
could this happen as a result of the font suitcase, or is it soem little setting or something?
i have tested it on 2 computers, and 2 printers.

thanks,
