It's been fun Nov 1, 06, 6:20 a.m.
What crazy timing. Kerry's bashing the military and I just joined the other day.
I ship out in a week to California for sniper school. I'll be a shooter not a spotter.
Been doing a lot of soul searching lately and I felt like I really wasn't going anywhere doing posters for some half assed print shop. I'm relatively new to California and have few friends and have absolutely no family so I felt it was time to do something with my life.
Really Newstoday has been a pleasure. Even the bad days when I'm knee deep in arguements. Mrdobolina really I think you're one hell of a guy and respect your love and deep beliefs in politics. Hopefully it spreads and brings some change someday.
You all have been great.
I just quit.
Gotta sell my shit and pack.
Hoorah!
Death of a... Oct 31, 06, 6:47 a.m.
Movie. Er... I mean Death of a President dies at the box office.
hahaha. What did they think was going to happen?
Oliver Stone... Sep 29, 06, 8:17 a.m.
'I'm ashamed for my country.'
http://www.cnn.com/2006/SHOWBIZ/…
My favorite line.
"From September 12 on, the incident (the attacks) was politicized and it has polarized the entire world," said Stone. "It is a shame because it is a waste of energy to see that the entire world five years later is still convulsed in the grip of 9/11."
Is that why you just did a film about 9/11 Ollie?
Make sure you look down upon the rest of the 'entire world' while you deposit all those millions to your bank account. Oh, and nice try dodging the hypocrite bullet by giving a small portion of the movies money to the victims families of the event. Asshole.
You should be more ashamed of "Any given Sunday." Garbage.
my 2 cents.

One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.
Bonus points for dropping a reference to the 70s cult classic Death Race 2000 in the article.

3 people died from dog bites = kill 50,000 dogs in 5 days.
Unbelievable.
Weird queston. Aug 2, 06, 6:36 a.m.
Have you ever been driving your car listening to the radio, or on the phone, or even now my iPod is playing through a JBL sound station... and you hear this sound come through almost like that of a morse code, but not a click, more a horn sound and higher pitched, but in the same morse code beeps?
What the hell is that!?!
In my old car at least once a day while listening to the radio that sound would come on over the song and beep for a few seconds, then stop.
Weird shit.
Anyone ever heard of this or know what it is?
Global warming... Jul 7, 06, 6:38 a.m.
must not be as bad as last year, or, have as much of an affect as 'scientists' thought as last year at this time there were 5 hurricanes/tropical storms by this day. Arlene. Bret. Cindy. Dennis. Emily.
This year. One, and it was never above a Tropical Storm.
So how about a big round of gfy's to the global warming conspicatists who thought it was affecting the weather.
haha. So funny. Choke on it.

HAHAHAHHAHAHA how the FUCK did I know this was going to happen!?! If you go back and check the records I said this exact thing would happen.
Sorry, but I did.
What a fucking joke. Now, I don't feel a Got Damn bit sorry for those people. Unbelieveable.
indesign question May 30, 06, 9:44 a.m.
when in indesign, how do you turn off the text wrap?
i have a text area and sometimes it kicks a word to the next line when i know it will fit in the line above it.
this question is probably so simple, but i can't figure it out.
anyone?
is it bad? May 25, 06, 7:28 a.m.
that this morning in our status meeting i explained for a little over 10 minutes the difference between a .gif and .jpg, and what each should be used for and why... to one of the sr. art directors?
then, when i said "you can also now use a .png" the other sr. art director asked what a .png was, so i spent the better half of 10 minutes explaining to him what it was.
is that bad? it's the blind leading the blind here.
A poster in Powerpoint May 24, 06, 10:29 a.m.
A client of ours has sent us a poster they created in powerpoint. I guess that's the only program they have available.
We are having trouble printing it here. Not sure if it's getting dropped by the fiery, or if the DocuColor just won't recognize the file. (We are also a pretty big print company. Posters, banners, billboards)
Can I take the info from the powerpoint and drop it into InDesign and retain everything?
Powerpoint just ain't cuttin it.
any ideas?

Gas. Did you know? Apr 24, 06, 8:14 a.m.
the only reason ethanol needs federal help from taxpayer subsidies is that it is too expensive to compete on its own. whether 5 billion, 6 billion, or 8 billion gallons, an ethanol mandate would mean significant cost increases for the driving public.
the american enterprise's Blake Dvorak similarly warned against ethanol as a solution for high gas prices in a Dec. 9, 2003, article, calculating the heavy cost of production and the energy wasted in developing the alternative fuel source.
to plant, grow, and harvest the corn takes about 140 gallons of fossil fuel and costs about $347 per acre, while even before the corn is converted to ethanol, the feedstock alone costs $0.69 per gallon of ethanol.
barrel of oil. $75
barrel of ethenol. $160
5% to 15% ethenol put into your gas at the station... look at the pump.
now you know why your gas is so expensive.
Iraq. Did you know? Apr 24, 06, 8:09 a.m.
If you consider that there have been an average of 160,000 troops in the Iraq theater of operations during the last 22 months, and a total of 2112 deaths, that gives a firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000.
The rate in Washington D.C. is 80.6 per 100,000.
That means that you are about 25% more likely to be shot and killed in our Nation's Capitol, which has some of the strictest gun control laws in the nation, than you are in Iraq.................
Conclusion: We should immediately pull out of Washington
