rsync tutorial?

Got a new laptop for work, and I want to have about 8GB of files in sync with it and my desktop at home so I can quickly and easily run a script to update both sides with the most recent file changes.

Anyone have any good tips or rsync tutorials that are more recent than 2001?

CSS: What the FUCK?!?

QUestion for the CSS folks. I'm getting a major discrepancy in IE7, and only IE7. IE6 looks correct, like FF, Safari, etc. The problem is ONLY in IE7. I've been reading a bit about the "hasLayout" thing, and I've experimented with some tags, but nothing seems to work.

Here's how it's supposed to look, and again, it looks good in EVERYTHING except IE7.

Mac FF:

IE7:

Here's the code. Sorry I can't actually link to a live version, it's on a private staging server.

.commonPortalListing.centerSubSt... {
width:275px;
margin:10px 0 5px 20px;
padding:0 0 3px;
height:100px;
min-height:0;
}
.commonPortalListing.centerSubSt... img {
float: left;
width: 50px;
height: 50px;
margin:0 10px 0 0;
padding: 2px;
border: 1px solid #DDD;
}
.commonPortalListing.centerSubSt... h3 {
color: #FF0000;
display: inline;
}

Thank you any and all in advance!

CAPTCHA's

So I'm looking to find a nice, simple Q&A captcha. http://recaptcha.net/ is cool and all, but I want something less intrusive. Something like:
Q: What color is snow?
A: White

I think I may just go the ReCAPTCHA route. in the end. Any thoughts?

Dell Ultrasharp 2208WFP

Ok, I know this has been discussed to death, but it's been a while since (couple of months), and I'm wondering if there are any new "real world" users of this monitor. TN/VA debate, color washing out, etc. are all things I've read about this. But I've also read some really positive reviews. Any new users in the past couple of months? Any truth to the panel type? Some say TN, some say VA or S-IPS?

I like the height adjustment, the rotating ability. I do web work, no real intense color correction work. Suitable? Help me buy a monitor!

Float image on Google Map

Trying to float an image on a google map. Tried using z-index, floats, etc. but we think it's got something to do Google and Ajax not allowing a "branding" over their map.

Anyone have any experience?

How is this done?

This is probably a stupid question, but seeing as I can't see the FTP structure to, I'm clueless.

How does one create a link to go to a directory like in this link:

http://www.exploresteamboat.com/…

My sites' links point to an HTML file or PHP file (h**p://www.blahblah.com/about.h...

Does this make any sense to anyone?
