Ok, I know this has been discussed to death, but it's been a while since (couple of months), and I'm wondering if there are any new "real world" users of this monitor. TN/VA debate, color washing out, etc. are all things I've read about this. But I've also read some really positive reviews. Any new users in the past couple of months? Any truth to the panel type? Some say TN, some say VA or S-IPS?
I like the height adjustment, the rotating ability. I do web work, no real intense color correction work. Suitable? Help me buy a monitor!
Float image on Google Map Jul 3, 08, 2:30 p.m.
Trying to float an image on a google map. Tried using z-index, floats, etc. but we think it's got something to do Google and Ajax not allowing a "branding" over their map.
Anyone have any experience?
How is this done? Aug 15, 07, 3:54 p.m.
This is probably a stupid question, but seeing as I can't see the FTP structure to, I'm clueless.
How does one create a link to go to a directory like in this link:
http://www.exploresteamboat.com/…
My sites' links point to an HTML file or PHP file (h**p://www.blahblah.com/about.h…
Does this make any sense to anyone?

Can anyone point me to some symbols that an Electrical Engineer might use and associate with?

Form Verification tutes? Jun 4, 07, 9:55 a.m.
I'm looking for some nice, decent looking text/image verification that I can add to my email forms. Anyone have the good links?
Trick Photo? Feb 26, 07, 2:24 p.m.
What the hell is going on in this photo? I know Scorsese's legs don't end at his hips, but why are the three next to him up so high, and so obviously looking down at him? There's no discernible platform to be standing on, but the reflection is so confusing. This is completely blowing away my sense of perception. Anyone else?

Stupid, stupid IE Feb 12, 07, 6:43 p.m.
Can anyone tell me why this is happening in IE 5.2 for Mac?
http://sassafrasscatering.com/me…
If you can't see it, you're lucky. There are huge pieces of the background img's missing. It looks fine in Safari and Firefox.
And, I know. The other pages are a complete mess. I'm in the process of fixing it. =)
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!!!
Belated Christmas card Jan 31, 07, 11:02 a.m.
Anyone have some time to help me out? Jan 10, 07, 5:41 a.m.
I can not get this site to work with IE, period. Works fine in Firefox and Safaro, but pretty much the whole site looks fucked up in IE across the board. Can anyone take a peek at my code and steer me in the right direction on how to fix?
Thanks so much!
Copyright FAQ? Sep 27, 06, 7:02 p.m.
Can anyone point me in the direction of a good Copyright info source?
Here's the scenarip: I've got a photo from a postcard (my client's postcard, from like the 60's or something) of an actress from the twenties that said client would like to use for a business card. I've traced the image in Illy, and made a two-tone cut-out of it. Anyone know if this is still permissible, or breaks any laws or anything?
This is the first time I've really run into anything like this, so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Looking for a tutorial Sep 26, 06, 3:42 p.m.
There was a PS tutorial around a while ago that shows how to achieve an effect where the highlights are one color, and the shadows another. Sort of like a cut-out effect, but this guys method was much more refined, using the pen tool to select highlights and such.
The picture he used was an indoor shot of himself, a profile, facing right with a ball cap on. He had a golf club and looked to be on an upswing (my golf terminology is shoddy. He was finishing his swing and looking for the ball, you know?). Finished image was green and white.
Does this ring any bells?
"crackled" paper/poster in Photoshop? Sep 11, 06, 3:48 a.m.
Anyone have any good techniques for getting an aged, cracked look? I'm going for a Vaudeville poster style, and want an aged overlay for my image, similar to:
(the background, not the look of the ladies)
or the crackled background here:
Any tips or tutes?
