Posted this in the FMT but really deserves its own thread. Lots of great old/middle school rave mixtapes to be found here. These really take me back, as I wore out some of these tapes and haven't heard them in years. All are high quality and there's even a section of scanned zines in PDF form.

Indigo vs. spot colors May 7, 09, 8:56 a.m.

So, I've got this dilemma.

For my wedding invitations, I have a printer friend who has the exact paper that I want (left over from another job), and is willing to basically give the rest of the ream to me to print my pieces. The issue is that he only has an Indigo press, and I designed my invitations as a 2-color affair. However, the price is very, very reasonable.

So, should I go with it or spend the (considerable) extra money somewhere else on paper, spot colors and film? Will the quality difference between solid spot colors and CMYK builds really going to matter to anyone but me. And, before anyone says it, the spot colors I am using are well within the CMYK gamut, so they will not be difficult to match.
