After giving a brief demonstration during the keynote address at Nvidia’s GPU Technology Conference, Adobe went into more detail about computational photography using plenoptic lenses, a method of taking pictures so that any part of a photo can be brought into focus after the fact.

While the technology is still a good ways from being commercialized, it’s an interesting look into the future of photography.

By using a bunch of tiny lenses and some rendering software, users will be able to select what they want in focus, even after the photo has been taken. This technology will let users create 3D images on the fly as well.

anyone know how to convert or watch .dav files on a mac? It's the file format for CCTV cameras. Google was not very helpful and I didn't find anything in the video apps on the Apple downloads site... Anyone? Got footage of an accident my daughter had and need to show it to some friends with a legal background.

Apparently, Why Not Associates created a logo concept in 1999 for OM Group (unused, but published nevertheless), that looks exactly the same as the "new" AOL branding by Wolff Olins.
Pretty blatant, if you ask me. Thoughts?

I've been married for 10+ years now, and me and my wife have been working together for the past 7 or so years (we're both designers). Seems to work out fine most of the time, although I do spend quite a bit of time at night in local bars - to give each other some space, eh :)
Most people think I'm crazy (which to some extent is true), they can't bear the thought of working together full time with their partner. Anyone else here who works with their partner, and if so, how's that working out for you?

since we are moving abroad, we are looking for a belgian agency/freelancer to take over one of our clients. Its an Antwerp fashion house, so relevant experience is welcome. "what if" was already contacted but they declined because they are working for a competing fashion house... any other suggestions?
