Gormley - London Show

In encouraging the public to act, react and interact around Trafalgar Square's fourth plinth, Gormley's One and Other is timely – and invokes a rich tradition of living art

Various Expressions

I do listen to a lot of people....or should I say notice these various expressions which come back regularly in a speech.

And I just wonder why people keep using these words which have a real meaning but are becoming a gap filler => Oh My God....(this relates to God...but is now this exclamation), Obviously (rather than of course maybe....to be obvious it has to be known by the interlocutor, which in most cases isnt).

Anyway, have you noticed this change of vocabulary?

Traffic Lights cyclists

I am a cyclist, and I dont exactly understand why some cyclists HAVE to cross the road on the red light.

Is it worth it, risking your life for about 1min30s at the red light?

This gives bad reputation to cyclists too.

Is it Selfishness, stupidity or maybe both?

Your thoughts?

To Sigur Ros fans

Out on July 20th via Parlophone Records, Riceboy Sleeps (aka Sigur Rós singer Jon Thor 'Jónsi' Birgisson and his boyfriend Alex Somers) release their debut "Riceboy Sleeps". The project, of which the music tends to be more ethereal and experimental than that of Sigur Rós, has been used by the duo to exhibit artwork and stage exhibitions for two or three years now. Played solely on acoustic instruments in Iceland (and featuring long-time string collaborators Amiina, as well as the Kopavogsdaetur choir) it was stitched together on solar-powered laptops in Hawaii.

Riceboy Sleeps began as a Sigur Rós side project around 2003. On November 24, 2006, they released their first picture book with the same name as their project. One thousand hand-numbered editions were produced, and only available in Iceland. A second unnumbered edition was released in July 2007. To spread the word of the book's publishing, Somers and Birgisson held an art exhibition at Gallery Turpentine in Reykjavík, Iceland followed by an exhibit in Arkansas, USA and Melbourne, Australia. The two have released two singles: "All the Big Trees" and "Daníell In the Sea" besides the song "Happiness" which appeared on the "Dark Was The Night" Red Hot compilation produced by Aaron and Bryce Dessner of The National.

People not telling the truth

Right - this girl I met...... She was well into seeing me and all the rest. She was clear that she desired to know each others as **friends**. But, she said that she likes being single - independent. However, I discovered that she is kind of paranoid (she even confessed). She is in fact desperate for a relationship. As she put the guidelines - willing to be single - I respected this rule. For some reason, she now rejects all offers of going out (as friends), saying she is too busy with work.

But, I know that in fact she has been going to the pub, b'days or else.

I dont really like people not telling the truth.
