i know exactly what you are going through right now, allow yourself to accept the unconditional support of your friends and remember how lucky you are to have them in your life [at least once a day!]only a matter of time now, things will be back to normal, have patience. the good that comes from a situation like this is seeing the true character of your friends, it's a good feeling!

sorry for killing this thread. :'(

I missed this. Best of luck to those affected.

Wow, small world is right!
Unfortunately we're moving out of PA on the 30th August – we're heading back to Indiana. I'm gonna miss the Pub beer and the Boathouse food though! If you're in the area before that and feel up to a drink shoot me an email, if not I wish you and Nicole the best of luck. Oh, and 20nine are looking for an AD and GD in case you're interested... just check the job board up top ^ :)

Joe,
Such a small world we live in. I viewed your website and see that you work for Greg at 20nine Studios. I helped him out on the JLowe site last year.Anyways, I wanna thank you for your concern. If we decide to move back to Conshy, we should grab a drink at the Pub or some lunch at Boathouse.
Best,
J

Sorry to hear about your lil' ones Justin, my heart goes out to you both. Hope you get back on your feet as soon as you can.
I live and work in Conshy and saw the extent of the fires first-hand. I actually enquired about moving to those apartments a couple of weeks back. It scared me to think this could've easily happened to me. I really don't know what I'd do without my wife and dogs.
All the best,
Joe.

Nicole and I would like to thank you all for your thoughts, prayers and generosity. I really had no idea that Paul had put this together until late last night. When he told me that he did, I was so grateful to the point that I broke down in tears. I can tell you that these last 2 days have been a living nightmare and knowing that I had friends that cared for my situation is all that has gotten me by.
Since 5 pm on Wednesday watching my apartment complex in a full blown inferno, I've been on a 48 hour marathon to get a status on our pets ever since.
It ended in tragedy today when a vet called to confirm that our cat and dog were found dead from smoke inhalation. They were found asleep laying next to each other.
For those of you who didn't know Pennington and Boo...
This is penny:
And you can all ask Mike Hansen about my relationship with Boo (the cat). Sorry - no online pictures at this time.
I'm saddened not to have these pets with me anymore. They were my life blood and my girlfriend's greatest companions.
Regarding this site and donation...
I certainly do not expect anyone to donate money. Words of encouragement are enough for me to hear. However, those of you who have donated money, I can tell you that I am truly touched. It is an amazing gesture you have shown us.
Once again, thanks to all for your generosity and kind words. We will keep you all posted on our road to recovery.
Justin and Nicole
ps - thanks coach. your donation has opened my eyes to the size of your heart. i would like to get in touch w/ you soon. - fartbox

This is great Paul - hopefully it helps them get back on their feet. Guy lost everything, even his dog and cat. I would of done the same.

Glad to see this thread is still going strong.

i am sorry eddie, its all my fault, i miss understood because of my lack of understanding in the english dialect.
move on. your email was enough and i replied.
- MrDinky0
"I honestly do not know if English is your first language because it is pretty obvious that I am just saying lets take a chill pill"
what would an asian person say to this comment?
- Dinky dude, you need to chill out...clearly it's time to call it a day. You're nitpicking and it's annoying.Lt_Jack_Hammer

if you don't want to give, don't--why make a big deal about it? it's like people are jealous their mom liked their brother better or something
- MrDinky0
most of us dont know who is. seriously. we are only really helping because 1) its fucked up, 2) cause of you.
and its NT, what do you expect? when i posted that my father died, either my thread gets deleted or someone makes nasty comment. i expect that. let people talk.
- same0
I seriously do not understand how you can construe my comments as something bad when it was clearly trying to get people to stop arguing with a bit of light-hearted design humor? Maybe you dont understand that type of humor even if it isn't the absolute best of humor. I honestly do not know if English is your first language because it is pretty obvious that I am just saying lets take a chill pill, help somebody out, and lets all go back to designing for the man (see the humor???).
Secondly you left out why I left those 2ndary jokes.
I started off by saying.... "You all need to really find something better to do than argue over if it's better to give to one person or the another. Just give to both, one or none. Now go make your graphical art."
As for me not being here as much, some of us have to work for a living and can't sit here everyday responding 13,723 times.
Coming here to, as you quote, get something out of QBN and leave? Are you serious? A person I knew just lost his whole life. I came to let people know (NEVER asked for anything) as I know he contributes here. In fact it was another person in the thread that said, hey maybe we help him out. He was currently on the road to his parents house and probably couldnt say what just happened. I never came here to get something out of QBN, I came to let you guys know something bad happened to somebody that contributes here. What am I possibly getting out of this????
When I was in college I was more active as I had more time. Now things have changed, I can't contribute as much as I want, and honestly, i don't come here as much as I used to because of things like this. People getting upset about the stupidest of things.
There is nothing else I can say to you as you have made up your mind that I was out to get somebody or some weird thing. So I have to step out.
- I appreciated the break in the tension.ninjasavant
- same, it's cool, Dinky is, well, being a Dinky.Lt_Jack_Hammer
- MrDinky0
followed by comments like..
"You guys are still arguing and not kerning. Tisk Tisk.
Your clients are very mad at you now since they won't get their banner ad promoting the newest best energy drink."
"Kern bitch, Kern."
"Now I remember why I don't post here more than a few times a year."what comes to my mind is, so when you need something you come here and ask for the support of the community but yet refuse to participate in the communal process?
- You seriously don't get it do you.same
- tisk tisk maybe you should try to raise money rather then trying another imaginary debate.MrDinky
- here is one for you, you win. back to work.MrDinky
- I got it as sarcasm...not sure why Dinky is so upset about someone trying to tell people not to argue.Lt_Jack_Hammer

I think the difference is that Paul set something up for people to donate and let us know about it. If you also recall 5timuli posted about some trouble he was having and a few of us suggested he do the same thing but he declined.
- MrDinky0
spuntnik. i dont think its just who deserves or not. when 'same' / Donvitoviti made a thread about it, it did not get the same sentiment,
http://www.qbn.com/topics/562115…its just that when it was made in to EC or official QBN thing, people started to question the morality of it. I dont think there is anything wrong with debating it about it.
