Vitaflo (of Assembler.org fame) has created the ultimate emulation station.

It uses an old Mac G4, and a Playstation controller with a USB adapter for the hardware. Then he built his own custom front-end launching utility using Firefox in kiosk mode, and simple dHTML. That along with a series of OS hacks has created a beautiful setup that lets you play over 5,000 games from 15 different systems using 1 computer, and 1 controller.

You switch games and control the entire system from the PSX controller. When in the launching GUI, use the shoulder buttons to switch between the systems, then the D-Pad to pick a game and Start to launch. When you're done playing, Select + Start takes you back to the launching utility.
