is there a free online graphics editor that I can get my clients to use?
I created a label for their candle company but they want to be able to change the file themeselves, name, ingredients etc. for each SKU
Last time had to deal with small series packaging we used PDF
Figma can work for this use case
What could go wrong?
It might be a good idea to save the file in the correct formate for the program they are going to use.
If they use gimp then you make it look correct in gimp and then hand the file over. This way you know they are starting with something functional.
If they come back later and say there is a problem then you have their approval in writing.
I love that the application that is used to give over files for clients' self editing is called Gimp. Bravo.
Blimey, I've just set up labels for a friend's candle company who asked how she could customise them.
+1 for Utopian's answer. I set up the labels in InDesign, sent IDML files and she edits them in Affinity. She's pretty savvy but not a designer, and it's all working well.
