Can't believe this was from 1940. I'm working on an exhibition where I'll reinterpret some of his work in Stirling, which is quite exciting. It will include lots of the film work he did over in Canada and some home made films he made before he left.
Totally underrated genius.

“James Baxter, the king of animation. In this type of 2D animation, there is no "camera" like in 3D animation, just pencil drawings on paper. This means drawing the character to change perspective as the environment is spinning to give the illusion of a camera movement.”
Wish I had 1/10th of the skills Baxter possesses.
