I've been helping some friends launch a Tinder-like idea but for cannabis in Canada. You can sign up as a grower or a patient and find each other on the platform. Currently, there is nothing like it on the market for medical users.
I'm just looking for feedback.
In Canada as a medical user, you can designate anyone over 18 to grow for you. You just need a doctors prescription.

The marketing of it on social seems a bit scattered, but the actual idea behind it is a clever way to navigate this new system.

'Become a patient' reads a bit oddly.
"Anyone can become a Tender with the exception of a few rules. Learn more here" - exception of rules is a bit odd - something like "Anyone can become a Tender with the exception of a few 'conditions or circumstances?'. Learn more here" Or, perhaps 'allowing for a few rules'?
"If you'RE not a holding a cannabis prescription..."
"We think you know why you'RE here", perhaps?
I'd like to know more about who you are - dare you put a face somewhere?
I wonder if the 2-person grower limitation should be stated a bit more prominently - as a warning against going too far, but also as an encouragement for people doing small grows?
I like the branding - skirts being safe but yet relevant to the domain. I'm not sure about this: https://weetend.com/wp-content/t… .. just because it's plant-like, but not cannabis like :)

Another issue is people aren't completing their profiles right away. Even though on sign up it directs them to complete and gives a warning if they don't complete their profile will become expired. I feel some people might not trust the platform yet or are just trying it out. One woman said "why do i need to complete it" lol - If you don't complete it how will someone contact you! Or how do you attract another member!
This non-completion also make the site look dead or half-baked.We thought of doing a force complete before the profile is made, but that was only realized after it was live and we don't want to put any more cash into the idea unless it becomes something.
- Gamify the signup? e.g you have 80% of profile complete. Then give an incentive of why to get to 100%. Do you get a month trial? Maybe a higher ranking? etcmicrokorg

I thought they were going to have stores like the 'beer store' but it will say 'weed store' and Shopify will be their POS. And additionaly you can buy online?

Yes they will have stores.
But this platform for medical users and hope as the law change for recreational. Under the medical program you can have your own grower. Or grow and sell yourself. You can't do that as recreational user.- sounds like a gold mine. good luck!hotroddy

Nope.
Designated growers are capped at 4 patients for a given address. So a tender cant really scale this. But more importantly, they can't charge for the product as they are doing it as a compassionate individual. They can invoice for costs only.

That's not true. You can charge whatever you want. If you grow for even 2 patients that's a good income even with compassion prices.

Also its not about scale to grow for like 40 people. It's for small-scale craft-growers.
