Looking at the new MBP and need an external screen. Have been using 2017 iMac 5k — so wondering whether 4k will be noticeably lower quality? Use is mainly indesign / photo editing.
LG 5K ultrafine is about the price I'd get selling the iMac, which seems backward. I don't think the iMac 2017 can be used in target mode as second screen for MBP.
Suggestions please...

@mekk thanks, is that quite an old screen now? And whats the diff between that and the multitude of other 27" Dell screens of around the same price?

4K falls into the 'lower quality" category already? I'm way behind :)

They probably all have the same panel. afaik there is only Samsung, LG and Sony left in the market. Dell usually has a better setup out of the box for editing stuff than LG. LG's tend to have oversaturated color setups and inferior build quality compared to Dell.
If you're in the US you could have more luck with Dell's customer support.
