Maybe this has been asked before but Ive been paying Spotify now for a long time. I really like it.
I recently took up Apple's offer of 3 months free for Apple Music and I freaking LOVE it...
If nothing else, it gives me the opportunity to access MY music over all my machines...
Im not paying for both though - I dont like music THAT much hahaha
What do you like best? Pros and cons?
Thanks

Free Spotify account + ghostery + Adblock = Music without ads
- way to stick it to the musicians!monospaced
- they get paid every time I listen a song, I dont see a problem.Salarrue
- pfft, if you want to support artists, buy their merch or hard copies, ideally direct from their site. Digital gives them fuck all...detritus

$9.99 a mo. aint bad. d/l or play off the cloud and their suggestions based on current play lists aint bad but I have found lesser know bands more often on spotify.

I've tried both and prefer Apple Music. Accessing my own music, like you said, is a massive plus. Outside of that, I find Apple's catalogue to much deeper than Spotify's for the music I look for.
The desktop version of iTunes also has airplay, which is handy in the studio. Desktop Spotify requires you to use the systemwide airplay, which is great if you want everyone to hear all your notification sounds.
- Desktop Spotify doesn't work with Airplay? Crazy. Works great with Chromecast Audionb
- I bought an app to handle airplay and Spotify. It's called Air Foil or something. It does all kinds of stuff.monospaced

Is Apple Music past the fuckery of deleting files out of your local library?

I use VLC...or iTunes depends what I want to play cause since i found an iPod some years ago it became quite handy.
