    Hi All!

My client wants to produce project sheets daily and asked me to design a template for him. Now, I must come up with an idea so they can edit and fill these templates.

The ideal solution should have the ability to add an image in a placeholder (fixed width and height). The client should be able to move the picture within the placeholder, to get the best result. And he must add text with predefined specs on a predefined position.

I have searched within Adobe and tried pdf forms. This is good for text, but the client cannot add images in a placeholder. for as far as i know...

    Are there any other solutions?

    Thanks, in advance!

    I've been here before.

Clients are too cheap to hire or train in-house (or buy software) and doesn't want to pay a designer to do it.

Could you try a digital solution? Simple content managed web template or even a google doc?

If not, question the value of the docs, what are they for, are they important to the business? If so, maybe invest some time/cash to do it well.

Updatable PDFs are a ball ache. Clients always fuck 'em up and ask you to sort it for them. Not sure about images now though.

    • Have purposed to do them all, even if they come daily. A digital solution could work, if the client wants to invest.Roberthannink
    • Not sure about keywords on what to search for a digital solution online, any idea?Roberthannink

Why not Powerpoint and print like pdf?

    • <-- Not a terrible idea.monoboy
    • Nearly all clients have/use it.monoboy
    • True, though the risk is still there, they completely change the layout and quality. Will consider PowerPoint, thanks!Roberthannink
    • You can insert a image (with a predefined size) and the client can change it simply with a mouse right button clicOBBTKN
