We all know what Made in China or Made in PRC means... it means it'll fall apart after the first use. What that means for Chinese made EV's:
Those new British electric Mini's... Made in China.
BYD... a company idiots like Buffet love to throw money at.

Any company in China is legally not owned by the owners, it's owned by the CCP and any moment in time, they can take it under their control if they think you are becoming to powerful.
Additionally if you invest in Chinese stocks while sitting in the USA etc... you are not buying directly shares, you are buying pieces of paper that are supposed to represent the companies stock 1:1. Again all at the whim of the CCP. All based on company reports that are not audited independently, numbers fudged.
So when Buffet says he's investing in Chinese stock... he might as well invest in Crypto dog coins.
- ADRs represents one or more shares of foreign stock or a fraction of a share.
Not necessarily 1:1, and it doesn't even has to be the exact company.sted - you miss the point sted, there are no "stocks" in China :)grafician
- @shape upvoting this, it's hilarious
"Ma will be conducting research and teaching about sustainable agriculture and food production."grafician - can they make money from theses "not stocks" tho? i think the whole point is to make money, instead of buying stocks.pango

No joke: China's backlash against stand-up stirs fear of comedy clampdown
One joke by a Chinese comedian about the nation's military has spurred online uproar, a $2 million fine, a police probe, a sweep of cancelled shows and fears for the survival of Chinese stand-up comedy, a rare refuge for somewhat free speech.
