A client needs to add multiple links to their image captions.
I have been researching this and thought I had it working. My solution only links the first link and just doesn't work for any additional links in the caption.here is the code.

figured it out doing it differently. The caption echos out with special characters, so those special characters have to be decoded with,
<div class="smallcaption"><?= htmlspecialchars_decode( $the_caption ); ?></div>
This way I don't have to use jQuery to convert it
