I have just passed one of the hardest tests that I have ever had to endure in my life. I am now a CGSB Level II Radiographic Inspector. My job is to develop film in a mobile dark room and interpret the image to a particular code. Basically the ultimate art Director.
I use to work in the advertising world for about 6 years as a Web Developer specializing in Flash, this is how I started coming to QBN. I loved my time working in the industry but left about 4 years ago and have not been able to shake the habit of checking out the Pic of the Day.
I am posting this because when I first got out of the industry I did not know what I was going to do with myself. I felt that I did not have any other skills that would be marketable in other industries.
I had no idea that my current type of job even existed and wanted to let anyone who was frustrated with working in the industry know that there are other options if you decide to jump ship. I have been trying to get this ticket for over 2 years and now that I have it I feel much more secure in my new career.
Has anyone else moved out of the industry, maybe found something that they liked better?
