I am building a site for a client that needs both English and Spanish versions, but ideally would have them in the same site structure. I originally was going to have an "Espanol" button that went to another page with a new Spanish menu, but the theme I am using doesn't support it. I'm semi new to Wordpress, but have heard about language translators.
Does anyone know of any good ones, and how well they work? Any suggestions here are greatly appreciated.

My limited experience is with https://wordpress.org/plugins/go… which does an okay job, but has it's downfalls. Comparable to Google Chrome's native translation(s).
Sadly, you can't beat (especially considering you only need 2 languages) manual translation.
Godspeed camb!
- Yeah, I already have the translation, but would need to install wordpress in another directory in order to have the two separate sites. Thanks though!camb

Used WPML a few times, not very end-user friendly but does the job.

Thank you everyone for your help. Do you know of any good sites that are using any of these plugins?

If you're sticking all your content in the one standard content editor field, then add a second custom field. Original field for English, custom field for Spanish.
Then edit your theme so that both sets of content are loaded. Wrap them in containers, and hide one. Use a javascript to make a toggle on the page to switch which one is visible and which isn't.
You can go even further by using cookies to remember which language someone has selected, or even do some IP region detection to set the correct option on first visit.

WPML is the best option. Besides content, you can control plugins and theme translations with it.
