So Im staring at iphoto, I have like 1000 photos in here. Uh, where are these actually located?
Im trying to save some pictures down from my sisters facebook page on my imac. I guess I should save them in the pictures folder, except theres nothing in there. Then I click on photos in iphoto, the photo I just saved to the pictures folder is not there.
I swear I find this whole thing to be more complicated than using 3DS Max or some shit like that. Leave it to apple to take a simple thing like photos and make the whole thing a convoluted confusing mess.

That discussion topic on apple is unrelated to what im trying to find out. Where on my imac do I save my photos so that I can access them in iphoto?

I really dont understand this. When I take pix with my iphone they appear in something called my photo stream in iphoto. I have no idea if this is the same thing as icloud.
As soon as I get on the mac and save a photo somewhere, of course it doesnt get added to the photo stream! Why would it? That would make complete sense but the imac and their mobile devices work completely different for some unknown reason. So now I cant figure out where to save photos or how to force them up into photo streaming so I can access them in iphoto. Steve Jobs would lose his mind if he saw how awful they are now with this shit. Used to be all about simplicity. Totally different company now.
- Im literally emailing every photo so I can download it on my iphone so it can then be added to photo streaming. This is fucking retarded.CygnusZero4
- photo stream only saves the last 50 or so photos you've taken, not pics you add or importGnash
- it's confusing, I know. mg33 is the real expert here.Gnash
- photo stream is temporary -- it's a moving target sortaGnash
- if you're on your iMac don't bother with the phone, just DL them to the iMacGnash

to make an apple Photobook you'll need all the pics in your library on the imac -- not just you photostream.

Just "export" the images from iPhoto, where you can pick the size, resolution, file name, etc. Don't go messing around with the Library files, that will just make things out of sync.
- he wants the IN iPhoto, not out. He wants to make a Photobook from iPhotoGnash
- pics* IN iPhotoGnash
- His first sentence says he has thousands in it already and just wants to find them.monospaced
- eh, who gives a shitmonospaced

This might help:
Simply drag the photo from browser/facebook into the Photos window.
