...man they suck ass. If I spoke to (& charged) my clients the way these people do, I'd be out of business in a flash.
A case someone very close to me is involved in...he's defending a civil claim by a business associate.
"Please deposit $20K into our Trust account before we can proceed"
and
"I can't stress the importance you pay last week's fees of $10K by close of business today should you wish any further work to be done on this case"
and
"Extremely disappointed at the late payment of our latest bill. Our terms are strictly 7 days, no exceptions" for a $15K bill that was paid after 9 days.
Absolute parasites.
