now that is how you do a finale. nice work.

Yep! Good finale, not overy twisty and weirdly more satisfying that Season 1. Overall I feel like season 1 was probably the better of the two but definitely loved this one nearly as much, for way different reasons. Since having my son I'm a sucker for father / son drama stuff so maybe I'm biased!

it was ok. I dont hate it like some people. Would i get my 8 1/2 hours i spent on this back if i could? probably

Man... better season 1? not for me... Was it good? Yes... but all weirdness was gone. It felt grounded... Where as season 1, i was half expecting it to be satan himself. All that said... The tension was thick as Sarah Palins offspring.

Compared to loads of other shows, this was a good show. Compared to Season 1, it fell short. I feel like the plot was there, but the execution fell short, and it just never got going.

7 reasons for the utter disaster that was this season
http://www.vox.com/2015/8/10/912…def agree with a few of these ... but I would'nt say the show was an utter disaster.
- i think 'utter disaster' is vox get'n a little over dramatic. it had its probs but i enjoyed it overall.prophetone
- yeah, wasnt a disaster.. but it was a shadow of its former seasonautoflavour

meh, meandered the whole season, finale was ok, but just seemed a bit underdeveloped.
and there were more than a few times it was beyond corny..
like that whole saluting his son? waht the fuck was that about?

Fuck me I'm glad that was over in 8 episodes, I don't think I could take much more of that. Harrelson and McConnaughey's characters have nothing on this season for how fucked up they are. Some of the more violent and protracted scenes seriously got my heart rate up, they were very well done imo. I can't say at this point I'm super happy with the ending, but I feel like the character(s) left standing at the end are the ones who deserved to survive. The others were lost souls.

More ordinary than Season 1, which is what is creating all of the melodrama in this thread and beyond.
People aren't easily impressed exponentially; as television gets better and better naivety wanes and wanes.
I think this season was good, not great. Characters were all flawed, plot was a tad complex to be enjoyed by the majority of the public, etc.
I think this season was intended as more of a "classic" Los Angeles crime drama (think modern L.A. Confidential) and to that effect, it worked BUT was not without flaws.
Overall, I'd give it a 7.5/8 / 10.
: )
I watched the first season 2-3 times; this I'll keep at 1.
- I'm hoping Nic Pizzolatto & Cary Joji Fukunaga have another go at a season 3...ideaist

Really disappointed I suppose. .... .... Umm... Can't even be arsed elaborating. Roll on series 3 and make me happy.
