Dear QBN,
Sometimes I have side work and do freelance art direction. I mostly do a mockup and then recommend photographers and smaller film studios for execution.
One studio now said we should talk about commissions. While I already get paid my hourly rate for my art direction additional $ is always good.
The film productions are mostly in the €5.000 - €15.000 range for smaller stuff.
What is a usual commission rate for such stuff?
Thanks!

commission in lieu of day rate? It's odd for a client to suggest paying you more.
- No, it's a client that I redirect to a studio. I get the commission from the studio for getting them a job.mekk

The production company is the one that pays you to mock things up and they ask you to recommend studios and individuals to hire for that project?
