    Bootstrap vs Wordpress?

    A front-end framework vs a CMS? Huh?

    • I understand your point but...oey
    • ...I had to make that question.oey
    • Why? It's like asking screwdriver vs. toolbox. What is better?ETM
    • not about being better. i was more thinking about users perspective as a starter and which way to start. the vs doesn't make any sense for the matter.oey
    • and the way you put it clarifies a lot to me about this world. I only did stuff previously using wordpress.oey
    • Alright. I'll stop bustin' yer balls! ;)ETM
    • And codecademy and learnable are great resources.ETM

    HTML, CSS, JavaScript (not java)
    Learn Jquery.
    Learning Bootstrap will help!
    Learn Wordpress too!
    Learn PHP.

If you really dig JavaScript learn Angualr.js or Backbone.js as well.

Master them all and become a Jedi

    • yes, the guy also told me jquery is easy...after you know html, css and javascript.oey

I have never had to go near django and python...but it wont hurt to learn how to use.

    • I can have a 7 day intense workshop of python like 6 to 8 hours in a row if I want.
but wouldn't it be too much at the same time or during the same period?
      oey
    • too much like not practical to learn 2 or 3 languages at once? i mean besides css/html.oey
    • If you are aiming for a front-end developer job, than focus on knowing HTML/CSS/JS 110% then maybe pickup a framework like Bootstrap or Foundation.ETM
    • Throwing in something like PHP or Python now will be too much.ETM

You've got it a little mixed up, but that's ok, you're a beginner.

Wordpress will handle all your server stuff like email and gmail and SuperFTP. Bootstrap lets you choose a theme. CSS protects you from spam-bots. HTML handles all the e-commerce, but otherwise isn't completely necessary. Learn JavaJive if you want user accounts like Instagram/Myspace/etc. Python converts scripts into emoticons for the front-end and allows you to accept Bitcoin. PHP is cool, but basically only used by developer nerds to show off to each other. Don't bother. Download a copy of IE5 for Mac, it's good for backwards compatibility testing. And if you need a good development environment, I recommend Starbucks as they have the best free Wifi.

Or, just watch this video. It has everything you need to know.

    HOPE THAT HELPS! GOOD LUCK!
