I am looking for some nice Woocommerce templates for Wordpress. Any ideas other than the obvious Woothemes.com are very welcome. Thanks in advance!

Just a query if anyone knows.
When you click an 'add to cart' button in a woocommerce site, is it possible to add the product to the cart and have functionality like this? Select an item on that page, and you see the cart notifier slide out at the top of the page.

Anyone?

Starting an e-com thing and my brain is on overload. Do you guys think the trade-off in effort and hours with Woocommerce is worth it over the Shopifies or Volusions et al? Any recommendations? Thanks.

WordPress actually purchased WooCommerce in the last while, so support, upkeep, etc. are here to stay (a good thing).
I've not played with it much, but -> http://www.woothemes.com/storefr… seems like a pretty full featured alternative to aforementioned Shopify, etc...
...I fully support WooCommerce integration for a full featured shop BUT if you're doing something smaller and more "bespoke", I've been using Stripe Checkout Pro and avoiding the bulk of WooCommerce all together -> http://wpstripe.net/.
Godspeed.

Shopify kicks Woocommerce's butt - easily worth the miniscule monthly... constant updates and improvements you don't have to worry about, solid hosting/platform... and now stripe payments means even less charges. Shopify all the way.
p.s. very easy to learn template scripting.

I love my woocommerce store. If you plan on selling a lot of volume, you will start to see the fees stacking up. Right now I only have paypal as my payment gateway taking a peice. Shopify charges you a monthly and a service fee for every sale. I keep all my data collection in one place, and I've added extra functionality like subscription payments. Being able to have users use one of in for the store, bbpress, buddypress, and all my email lists helps too.
I'm no hard core dev but any stretch but I did the instalation myself in a couple of hours.

Just getting back to my original question, anyone know of any plugin that can add to the cart like that or would it be custom work?

OK...I decided to ditch any WP/Woo development. One of my solid clients is looking at changing to another firm with a full WP/Woocommerce site. They are a smallish winery.
I'm kind of clutching at straws trying to talk them out of this.
Give me something that I can use! Any major negs when it comes to this combo? Or am I doomed? I'm looking for some major dirt on WP/Woo.
